so I've got a dell laptop, it was a top of the line inspiron a year ago, and it has a dl dvd burner. I don't use the burner more than about twice a month on average, and never watch movies on it, but within the past month, it's write speed has dropped from 2.4x (I only use dl dvd's) to about 0.6x. what gives? I haven't spilled anything on it or dropped the laptop, so I'm clueless unless it just means that it's dying a slow death and was made poorly.

hmmm, I forget, and all I'm doing right now is making a data disc. I'd have to try copying a dvd later to find out...
