We have FoC Shockwave, true. But I don't think we'll be getting a PRiD Shockwave. So are you cool with sticking to FoC?

I am. He scales nicely and has the same general aesthetic.

For now I'm going to say yes, because from those who saw his Botcon appearance, he looks very similar in-show to FoC Shockwave.

It was rather sneaky on the part of Hasbro that unless you are just a total purist of some type that you could work Fall of Cybertron Shockwave into either a War for Cybertron, Generations, or Prime collection.

Personally I don't think it's a bad idea because so many fans have a chance of getting the character now rather than having to wait for the character to show up in one of the other lines.

I don't see how FOC Shockwave has anything similar in aesthetic to Prime.

The real question is, are people satisfied as him as their Generations Shockwave.

Doesn't he need an off-center mouth to be part of Prime?

Well he's got a bulky-ish upper torso and shoulders, a slim waist, and legs that start out thin and get thicker towards the foot. And he's got the ever-popular two-piece back kibble.

Megatron kept a cybertronian mode, so I believe shockwave should do the same.

To me Prime has a similar aesthetic to the Generations line. I tried to put RID Ratchet and Cliffjumper side by side with figures from that line (say Track, Jazz and even stretching a little, Wreck Gar) and they look like they belong there. Most of the do.

How do you get past the no noses thing?

Prime is more smooth and toonish, FOC Cybertron looks like a piece of Cybertronian architecture in many ways, with his detailing, which Prime figures dont have, including Megs.

I thought I would be satisfied initially, but after getting FoC Shocky in hand and displaying him in my TFP collection, there's just something not quite right with him. In a word, it's size. He's just too damn small. It would have been better if he was a Voyager figure so he can stand with Megatron and Breakdown without looking like a shrimp. Even Soundwave dwarfs Shocky, which just ain't right in my view. The aesthetics of the figure aren't too bad though I just wish his gun was designed a bit better so it would fit the hand/arm more securely.

The more Shockwaves, the better. Because of that reason and that reason alone, I voted 'No.'

I don't own FOC Shockwave yet, but when I do, he's going to my TFP display

Not that Hasbro would do any better if they released him in Prime, but he might be shorter than First edition Cliffjumper. It's hard to see a shockwave that short as menacing.

I'd rather Prime Shockwave be his own design. Everyone else that's in both series have two completely different designs, so there's no sense in making Shockwave use only one.

No. 99% of the time when people say something outside of the Prime line fits the same aesthetic, I don't see it. At all.

He should have a unique design on the show. Its mainly because the Alt mode is more fall of cybertron trapezoid fighter and He has a cable neck thing going on in that retro way. But as far as my toy shelf is concerned Shockwave goes wherever Science Triumphs.
