so yah bought a ps3 off craigslist, went to the guys house with my dad. he had ONLY the HDMI to hook up to make his picture and sound work, NOT any AV cables. My tv DOESNT have an hdmi port, but it has a av port.

now remember, this is the older model ps3, NOT the slim.

well my av port only consists of yellow and white and that's it. (yes, my tv isnt a flatscreen).

and nothing works. the ps3 does, but i cant get picture. sound, yes. picture, no. i am extremely pissed at myself and i dont know what to do. I'm screwed  

 

while the ps3 is off, hold the power button(5-6 seconds) until you hear a beep. it should reset the video settings.

 

Yeah, gotta reset the video settings.
