And by that I mean: Do all computers come with a disk to reinstall Windows? Because if so, I can't find mine.

If not (or I just can't find it), what methods do you tech-savey guys to do the whole re-install thing? And any pointers for the Re-install virgin?

    Thanks guys.

So far as I remember my last two computers (one Dell, one HP) did not come with reinstall disks for Windows.

Last 3 computers I purchased did not have them. You'll need to make "recovery disks", I believe. Should be an option somewhere to do it.

that's it, they dont' come with "re-install" disks anymore. most companies put the option of making re-install disks in the consumers hands cause they can charge an arm and a leg later on when you need them.

depending on how old your comp is, it may have an option of "system Restore" which will format the hard drive, and "restore" your system to how it would be if you had just purchased it.

Generally no, they add a partition to the hard drive that you can use to restore windows.

yeah, there's usually either a partition to do so, or a program that will allow you to burn your own.
