So far, the only kinds of Insecticons we see in TFP transforms into giant Hercules Beetles. But in G1, there were at least 3 types of insect modes for Insecticons, even the Vehicons have some variations, car mode and jet mode. Do we know if they plan on making different Insecticons for TFP in the future?
nope, I had hope for different kinds back in Orion Pax arc when Arcee was attacked on Cybertron, but after Airachnid found a hoard of the same kind of Insecticon, and the only one with a name being the same kind with scars/tattoos, we can safely say there probably won't be more insecticons of different models... ...unless Shockwave shows up maybe with schemes for them, but jsut don't see them making another model for a generic beat 'em up fodder character.

As far as I know, there haven't been any plans to introduce extra variaties of Insecticon; the giant beetle suits the purpose well enough. Still, it would be cool to see others. Ants, wasps, dragonflies, mantises, even a bombardier beetle for artillery. Insects (and arthropods in general) are a very varied lifeform indeed.
I would love to see different types, say like a Wasp version. Maybe I can get TFP Waspinator that way from Takara.
Paper, wood, cardboard, plaster, paper mache and the occasional steel one. Anyway, I like the design they are now, but having some smaller ones for espionage or sabotage would be cool. Maybe have them based off of earwigs or millipedes would be creepy enough.
I imagine if Kickback, Sharpshot, or some other named Insecticon shows up in the future, they may have new or at least modified bodies compared to the generic ones.
I doubt we'll see any different Insecticons. Hardshell and ScurryDown are no different from normal Insecticons in the TFP universe.
That would be nice. After Bombshell (aka Hardshell, or so I heard) I'd love to see Kickback and Shrapnel appear, in a variety of different insect modes.
I'm fine with the Insecticons all having the same form, but I wouldn't object to more colour variations or patterns, like Hardshell's stripes.
