I would say yeah because why else aren't many of the Season 2 charecters in it.

 

I think that during the time that season 1 went from Sunday mornings to Monday to Friday and they new they had a huge success with the toy line they green lit Transformers and GI Joe the movie. Early season 2 has pretty much the Season 1 characters in the notes and things released in the last few months you can see lists of Season 2 characters listed as can be used in backgrounds ect. Which explains grapple. But clearly the script was written during season 1 and it came out in the theater late summer after season 2
