If they do the Prime mold as Hoist I'd consider getting him but as it is these just seem pointless.

All these BT pics (BT19-22) are likely to have been either digitally knocked up, or photos of development figures, rather than final paint jobs.

Good to see TomTak finally re-use the S2000 mold. If they have been listening to fans, then they may well simply be doing BT Convoy in diecast, after the complaints about KP Convoy, although it is a horse that has already bolted. If things go well, fingers crossed that they bite the bullet and do diecast molds for the ones that are currently plastic only: Ford GT, Jaguar XK and Honda Civic.

Personally, I'm hoping for the green color on BT-22, because it's so unique, will amuse me, and may give us another Decepticon.

    /me crosses fingers for Toxitron.

    EDIT: whoops, quote-edit anomaly vortex.

You know, now that you mention it, I think it will be much less painful for me to get the Convoy because of the die cast thing. I think it would be very cool for that mold to get a die cast makeover since the KP one didn't have any metal.

I feel much better now. Thanks! :lol

Arcee? Gimme a break! They're not even trying. I'll probably NEVER get a toy of the real Arcee.

Isnt the only plastic BT one clear mirage?

If you only count BT, yes.

KP Convoy, Hot Rodimus, and Autorooper were all plastic though.

I'm suprised they didn't announce the ford GT as springer.

although i think the only reason Convoy and arsey (those colours really do look like arse) is because both the molds might have been prepared for bt production as they were going to be the next in the bt line before they turned to * then kiss players.

I hope they don't really plan to make the entire truck bed blue. That'd just look all kinds of weird with a red cab and everything behind it blue.

For Arcee.. I rather have that custom made from the rodimus/mirage mold...

unfortunately.. I believe that customizer passed away.. I really like that custom.

yes, that would look very strange.

overall, though, red and blue is far more palatable than neon green. not that light green isn't a legit color for dodge ('sublime', although it's a retro shade), but it's not my favorite. while i can certainly understand the loathing for barely repainted toys such as prime, i never got him the first time around, so i can hack picking it up. especially in diecast.

quite frankly, i'm happy that they're sticking to realistic exterior paint jobs for these, despite the usual fanwank bitching. you guys have all kinds of other lines for that. the silver s2000 is sweet... i would not buy a pink one. purple, maybe.

Time to put my conversion-fu into practice. 1cm=10mm, simple really. Divide mm measurements by 10 for cm and multiply cm measurements by 10 for mm.

So if the box size Sid quoted is right it's, 22x11x11cm. And a BT box is 150x150x? mm.

Convoy and then Hot Rodimus were originally next in line in BT, before things went sideways. Convoy obviously has diecast molds available, but unless something changed very recently, they never, and probably still don't, have them for the GT, evidenced by Rijie. The transparency may have seemed like a gimmick, but it was a justification to offset their inability to do a diecast GT in the Binaltech line.

I'm curious if/how this affects the Binaltech Story, particularly if Hasbro's interest in resurrecting Alternators amounts to anything, and we get commonality back and some new molds (Cdllc Mgtrn, plzkthx). The continuity has been cut loose, so they could do what they want, and I'd be interested in investigating some of the events prophesied in the later chapters.

Great to hear that the Binaltech line's still going. :D  But Arcee as a "Limited Edition" pisses me off, though...:banghead:

now i know you didn't miss my little fanwank rant :)  you've got animated and classics for all your geewun needs. all in jest, though, i wouldn't have had a problem, personally, with a sublime dodge ram, or even that yellow 'rumble bee' we all thought it was this morning. both are legit factory colors.
