hey guys, I was just cleaning out my room when i found these 2 dinobots (grimlock/sludge). I think I got them a year ago (seperately) at local swap meets for like $1 each. I was wondering how authentic they are...

Here are a couple pics of them. The stickers have definitely been worn out, and weren't put on by me.
    Grimlock: (has sword and gun)

i tried to zoom in but my camera sucks. It says: something japanese, copyright TAKARA CO. LTD Japan 1980. 1984
    [IMG]
On this leg it says copyright Hasbro 1980. 1984

as you can see there is some discoloration on the tail

and it might be missing a piece

copyright takara co ltd 1980 1984. I dont see a hasbro copyright.

Please let me know if these are real, and what they were worth?

    Thanks guys!

This is such a funny picture!

    To me, they look authentic.

My Dinobots were on the heavier side. How feel they?

I'd venture to say they are real, based on the fact that the KO's are only a couple years old, and The chrome/sticker/play wear on yours seems to have been obviously done over a long time, I would really doubt they are the KO's.

As far as what they are worth, I would suggest searching completed ebay auctions.

they are both legit as i own both and know mine are legit as for value its hard to say but id guess the Grimlock with the piece missing maybe $40-$50 and the Sludge $30 maybe $35 you did not say if Sludge had his weapons or not so i went conservative on him

My cousin gave me a small box of figs, that included junkers (huffer, starscream) and some weapons. I think i have the missle launcher of sludges there, cause that's where i got grimlocks sword and gun. Thanks for the input.

Do they say "Japan" on the copyright?
If so, I'd say they're authentic

Noibody would be selling the recent KOs for $1 each. Perversely, the KOs cost more than decent original loose versions at the moment!!
