Are there G1 Decepticons who cannot fly in their robot modes?

    Hey guys, I have always thought that all the Decepticons could fly in their robot modes, but then someone at work showed me their More Than Meets The Eye Official Guidebook which states that: Thanks to Megatron’s advancements, most Decepticons are capable of self-propelled flight in robot mode. So I have been wondering which Decepticons can’t fly in robot mode and does it change in these different TF continuities?

    - The Transformers cartoon?

    - Japanese cartoon continuity?

    - Marvel (and UK) comics?

    I think in the cartoon, every Decepticon could fly, at least in the opening sequence. Did Reflector fly in Robot Mode?

    Was Trypticon ever shown flying?

    I don't remember Trypticon flying, unless Metroplex threw him.

    In the comics, very few Decepticons could fly in robot modes. I know Shockwave could due to rockets in his feet, and while I can't recall a specific instance, I'm pretty sure the seekers could.

    Nah, they can fly as well.

    Would have made things a little more interesting if some of them couldn't fly. Like say Soundwave and all his tapes (save the ones like Laserbeak). Just like it would have been cool if some Autobots could fly.

    But there was some Autobots who could fly: Skyfire, Cosmos, the Aireolbots, Springer.

    In G1 I thought that was whole deal. The decepticons could fly and autobots couldn't. Though Autobots flew all the time ....Gotta love the 80's

    I'm pretty sure Bludgeon never flew. He could do a flying kick, but he never actually FLEW.

    Bludgeon was never in the cartoon. A question like this is quite clearly a question about cartoon Decepticons since that was the media where the all the Decepticons could fly in robot mode.

    yes but Ironhide and Bluestreak were also shown flying, in fact all the Autobots could fly in robot mode in the start of the series

    Everyone could fly but didn't. One episode I saw Wheeljack fly into the air despite the fact he turns into a car (and it wasn't the one of the first ones).

    Didn't everyone fly in the opening? And in The Headmasters, Rodimus, Kup, and Blurr were shown flying off the ruined planet Cybertron. What gives? They somehow obtained the ability off screen to suddenly fly?
