I'm torn about these figures. I like the looks of Vader, Maul, and Anakin. Plus I really dig the Millenium Falcon figures that are yet to be released. So what do you guys think of them, and do you have links to pictoral reviews of them?

I keep mine sealed, and from what I've heard, I'm glad. I think I heard that the SW team designed them and not the TF team. I'm not positive, but I thought I saw that somewhere.
As for my opinion...poor execution on a good idea.

I have yet to buy any. I like the look of the ships, but the bot modes just suck major ass. Not to mention that I've heard they joints are usually loose as hell. Add the fact that they're 15 bones a pop is enough to make me pass each time I see them.

think of it this way. even if u dont like the bot mode, you still end up with very cool ships with pilots.

I've found they're -very- much something where if you don't like the looks going in, you probably won't like them much more after getting your hands on one.

Myself, I thought they looked cool from the pictures. Picked up Vader and Obi-Wan...not really disappointed, nor blown away.

I did a review with some decent pics of the Obi-wan toy. It may help.

Personally, on the whole they're not worth it. They are basically deluxes, but cost more and are engineered worse than the mainline deluxes. After getting Vader, I'm only getting the ones that REALLY pique my interest.

Because I like the Jedi Starfighter Design, I got that, and I'm looking forward to the Arc-170/Clone Trooper, but apart from that, I'll probably steer clear.

I don't think they are worth it at all. That being said, I've been buying them anyway. I plan on getting one of each mold (aka, no repaints for me).

Sigh. If only I weren't such a big TF and SW fan.

I think it varies from figure to figure..

Vader is passable as is Luke. Boba is pretty good (and i like him a lot) and Greivous is pretty good, Anakin/Obi Wan is great as is Maul.

If you are going ot get one to try out i suggest Anakin. Then cut the little tabs on the side of his hips and remove the wrist pins. Then he is totally kick ass.
