Are the KO Binaltechs worth it? For $15 or so? I am more interested in the random unique variations they have. Like the hummer one. Not so much interested in KO's of the originals. But the ones that they gave their own colors or changes to. Anyone here have any of them? What is the quality like?

I think so. Beats spending ebay money on the originals. I've got a few KOs, but not the Hummer. Quality is among the best KO quality I've experienced.
That doesn't mean it's on par with the official releases though.

I heard they were pretty good but sometimes required a little fixing, so be prepared for that.

Just be warned that for fifteen bucks, you're gonna have a few bad apples in the lot. My one KO Hummer's feet cracked off at the ankles.

Where are you purchasing these for $15 each. The ones I've bought have been around $15-$30, but one always has to factor shipping into cost as well. $15 + $15 for shipping = $30.

There are actually a handful that I still need/want to get, but other things are taking priority at the moment.

The RX-8s are really great. I find little fault with them. The Vipers are quite a bit floppy. If you're willing to get secure some junker Alt Vipers for robot parts, a little bit of parts-swapping will give you some nice figures. The Imprezas mainly just have floppy roofs and feet/ankle parts. Those can be fixed with some Future to tighten the joints up.

I'm guessing that's the price before shipping. I got all of my old lot from Chimungmung for that price.....before shipping but he does combine if you want a few.

Worth of note too that the only issue I ever had was one of Mesiter's arms was a little loose but I read that was the same on the original?

Wow thanks for all the responses guys. :)

Yup. That is were. But I wasn't including shipping because I don't know how much that will be combined. I still consider it $15 each though. I just leave some factors in for the cost of shipping.

Thanks again for all the responses guys. :)

I visited my friend and he was proudly showing off his KO Shockwave to me. The weight of it is even more than an original! The arms didn't constantly fall off like they do on my BT Jazz and Alt Shockwave, either.

Anyone have particular "variations" they like? Or a certain one they don't like?

I'd be interested in the KO Alternators... if they were somehow downsized for say Alternity scale.

Here's my galley, I like the police car series, and the Hummer (retooled from Hound). and the oversized Wheeljack that almost fits G.I.Joes. (but it's all plastic, no metal)

I seem to remember the ones that come in vehicle mode to be better than the ones that are packaged in robot mode. but might not always be the case.

When it comes to TF KOs, the better ones are almost always the ones that comes in packaging similar to the original toy. If a KO has crazy colors and/or comes on a cheap bubble card (if the original toy didn't), the quality is likely to be terrible.
    that's my experience anyway.

I always wanted the red mustang. Seemed like a perfect base for Deadend.

I got Shockwave and it looks good but the thing falls apart in the arms. I don't know if the real one has similar issues.

It sure does, unfortunately. I've been meaning to do a simple fix on them for years.
