I've been getting reprolabel stickers to restore my old Transformers, but I was wondering if they or any place else makes the rub signs as well. Can anyone point me in the right direction if so?

    Thanks

Check reprolabels.com...they have almost all of the stickers from G1 and rubsigns. Reprolabels has been top-notch with my orders but they can take awhile to arrive in your mailbox.

IMO Rubsigns are DUMB. Anyone who was around when they debuted in the 80's would remember that originally they were a gimmic slapped on these small mini-bots called transformer spies and you never knew which side they were on until you rubbed the rubsign sticker on them....they literally didnt say on the package even which for the time was kinda cool. Then hasbro started slapping it on all the decepticons and autobots and it got stupid.

"Rubs the Rubsign on G1 Hotrod, OMFG HES AN AUTOBOT"

    yeah dumb...don't waste your time.

Yeah, Reprolabels has them. And not just the Autobot and Decepticon ones, you can get symbols for Maximals & Predacons, G2 Autobots & Decepticons, Mini-sized Rub symbols (For Minicons/Micromasters), oversized rub symbols (For Binaltech/Alternators) and Unicronian rub symbols.

This; however they aren't perfect reproductions of the originals, they are a little thicker.

Thanks guys!! I found them on the site; however, it doesn't specify how many per pack for $4.00. Is it four stickers per $4.00 as the image suggests? Just wanted to confirm this just in case it's $4.00 per sticker.

I thought rubsigns were originaly a trick implemented by Hasbro to distinguish the "real" transformer toys from Ko's back in the 80's. They still put rubsigns occasionaly on newer toys, like Classics BB for example, and I think the rubsign amplifies the attractiveness of the toy, myself. Simply because you don't like them doesn't mean you have to buy them.

I have ordered two sets of mini rubsigns, I love it. 4$/set, that means you get a sticker cca 3 cm x 4 cm in size. If you ordered mini, you'll get 16 miniature rubsigns on that sticker. If you ordered normal size, on the almost same size sticker you get 4, normal sized rubsigns. No experience on the Alternator size yet :(
You have to cut them and it's not easy.

Yeah, this. The rubsigns were a way of marking "genuine" TF toys against the deluge of KOs on the market. Of course, that didn't keep the commercials from making a big deal out of how "cool" they were.:thumb

Doesn't really work that well now though, since KO Metroplex also had a working rubsign. XD

Well, if Reprolabels can manufacture them, so can the knockoff companies. :p

Do the rubsigns have some sort of outline for which u can cut along lines to make sure you get a perfect square? Or are there no guidelines at all?

Yes there are. If you cut only the black square, then you surely get that. If you keep a little bit of the metallic "frame" around, it looks better.
