I'm browsing ebay and I am checking out the TF:A figures. Its unreal how much people are asking for them. I was just wondering are a lot of people paying that much for them?

Don't they come out in a few weeks?

    Another month or so, actually.

Yes, there are people paying that much (if not more) for them.

    Yep.

It's obviously worth it to some people however. For some reason.

At this rate, when you consider the amount of gas I'd use trying to find these figures upon the eventual release, I'm actually SAVING money buying pre-release on eBay.

Well the market for animated has been around for a couple months now, you'd be amazed for what they were going for at the very beginning. Me, if I can snag one for retail, or a tiny bit higher I have. But $80 for a $20, thats a stretch to me

isnt this like the 57th thread about this????

yes its true. i have paid insane prices to have them early. but most of us who have, was because it has always been months before mass retail release. its my money and ill do what i want. i dont think any of us or anyone has dangled them over each others heads to be better than anyone. not saying that is what you said barricade13.

You think they are gonna be hard to get?

Earlier this week I went hunting at Toysrus for some 25th GI Joes and premiums movie figures, and I was talking to an employee that worked there. Aparently all the TF movie figures were on hold (I think he said "Reebo Hold" or something), the hold was for the area in front of the store where they are gonna have a big section for them in a few weeks. I guess the area where the Speed Racer toys are now in the store near me. So they were holding all thier inventory till then.

Hopefully there will be plenty, but who knows.

My area's an absolute dead zone for new stuff. We still haven't gotten any of the Movie Premiums beyond the Leader class.

SO i'm using the direct approach.

You are absolutely right. You can spend your money on whatever you want. I didn't mean to sound dissrespectful to anyone who did pay for the TF:A figures. I was just wondering if there were a lot of people who were paying for them early.

    Gotcha.

Mine is the same about 25th Anni GI Joes. I'm starting to preorder now so I can get any now

wave 1 will be easy to find but wave 2 deluxes will be 2 of each per case so they will be difficult to find, and june is the release date still.

It's good for others who haven't bought them yet thinking that they cost too much.
It's good because ALOT of people already bought them, theres a less chance of scalpers and the shelves being empty.
    Thats just my view.

If people want to spend their $$ on toys before they are out in the store, that is their business. Personally, I won't pay 2x for anything that I can just wait a month or so and get in a store. Beyond the initial week or so of release, none of these toys are going to be hard to find.
