Guys I really need your help. Today I picked Wreck-Gar off my shelf and played around with him. I noticed one of his arms wouldn't really line up that well when I tried to move it to robot mode, so I checked to see what was up with his hinges. I found two stress marks where the metal rod is behind the plastic on the hinges. I'm so scared of breaking this guy because he's my most loved Transformer I have!! Did anyone else run into this problem? Should I not risk Transforming him at all ever again?!

Wow I just looked at the picture I took and the metal rod seems to be breaking the plastic on his left arm even worse than I thought. D:

best I can say is to take it easy on those joints, maybe try to slide/push the part up/down on the joint while transforming, instead of relying on the slope inside the joint to do it for you. (which is the cause of the stress)

    ...

Maybe get a spare toy when you get the opportunity.

Spare Wreck Gar is out of the question. Too hard to find and too expensive online. I think pushing up on the joint will prevent anything bad from happening. I had no idea the joint even worked like that till today.

It is a common problem on Wreck-Gar. Check the feedback forum, lots of dudes have it including myself. The way the piece moves on the pin is what causes it, and they all have it straight out of the box. Don't worry, your arms will not fall off, if you notice the pins slide through two pieces and only one has the marks, the other is fine.

I thought he was designed that way because his arm popped off on episode 47.

Isn't there a fix for this. Something about shaving it a little?

Buy another one, or just be easy on the one you have.

A *lot* of toys get stress marks from the first transformation or two, then it never worsens. Only worry if it gets worse.
