I work in Argos in Ireland and the new catalogue has cut the Animated line down to just Deluxe class and Leader Meagtrons. However we haven't got a delivery in months of any new Animated toys, I dunno if Argos has just dropped them? Anyone else here work in an Argos in the Uk or Ireland and know anything different?

I don`t work there, but can`t think why they would have devoted half a page of catalogue space and can the line.

I'm not sure if its canned but, we've had the same figures since January, a bunch of Snarls and Bumblebees, dispute the pic of Blurr in the catalogue.

True, but that doesn't only apply to Animated, does it? I've been checking a number of Argos stores in the North West for signs of Universe Cyclonus et al, but I haven't seen anything newer than Sideswipe; if the UK Sightings thread is anything to go by, nobody else has either, save for one freak incident a couple of months ago...

My sister works in Argos but she seem unable to tell one Transformer from another apart from 'the red one', 'the yellow one' etc. :p  I gave up buying TF from there since they've not had anything new for ages and doing a viewing is such a pain in the arse these days just to find it's all the same old crap since I checked a month previous. Argos used to be great for TF, but these days they're as pump as most other shops.
But it wouldn't surprise me if they've dropped Animated. Probably making way for the movie stuff by clearing out their warehouses of remaining TF:A stock.

As with a lot of retailers these days, the phrase 'Making room for movie toys' is probably applicable.

Seems likely that anything that orders of anything other than ROTF items are going so slow down soon, if they haven't already.

Don't work in Argos and to be honest I don't buy from them any more. Last TF i bought form Argos was Alternator Ravage.
I have noticed Smyths have the Animated Jet Twins and Roadbuster Magnus and Shadowblade Megs.

Blurr hasn't hit Smyths, or any Toymaster branches yet IIRC.

Aye, Jason has a great selection, I'd suggest going up to have a look in person as he has a load of loose tfs there as well. Good stock and knows his stuff. Though I imagine he's sick of me down on my honkers trying to decipher what he has in his glass case/counter.

Well they're imported, so not very budget freindly, but better than postage costs from abroad. Worth a look for sure, though I've not been able to get anything nice for a bit and it'll be the summer before I get me something nice.

Yeah his prices are a little bit more, but he has stuff you will never see at retail here and sometimes he has some bargains. I bought Henkei Powerglide off him for €40. Importing that would work out about the same.

Universe deluxes are €20 which is only €3 or €4 more than retail and you could pick up Dinobot or Smokescreen which you wont see here until probably the end of the year.

I think Argos are going to can Animated around the end of April, before they get Revenge of the Fallen toys in stock. I was at smyths recently and seen Jet Twins, Roadbuster Ultra Magnus, Shadow Blade Megatron, Swoop and Sentinel Prime. Although I did look up at the storage shelf and there was a wave 4 box and two wave 3 boxes. Smyths will probably continue to sell animated until a couple of weeks or even months after season 3 ens here. At the most it could go on for another year and a half afterwards. Why do I say this? Last time I was there I seen Movie Voyager Incinerator and Prime and the Bumblebee vs. Barricade two - pack.

I recently purchased Bulkhead (my only animated character) but the Argos website said it would be Megs

Hey did Argos ever get in new stuff in the Legends or Activator class? I managed to pick up the 3-pack Animated Legends at Argos a few months back, but haven't tried since.

Seems like everywhere else around is still loaded up with the first wave of repaint Legends.
