My Thundercracker is fine. But I might knock out that pin and whittle the tailfin down to keep the part from being stressed.

My Classics Starscream first release has a crack. Oh well. They are toys after all.

None of mine are cracked, because I took the precaution of sanding down the offending parts before they became an issue.

I did have a spare Classics Starscream that was being used for parts that I noticed had a cracked hinge, though.

And of course, this only pertains to Starscream/Thundercracker/Skywarp (any version) or Acidstorm. Ramjet, Thrust, and Dirge are all in the clear because they have different tailfins.

Did you knock the pin out or just rotate and sand the piece?

All of my Seekers are in the clear. Checked and none even have a stress mark.

Do have to say though, that the tailfins were pretty stiff and a pain to just fold down. Which is why I don't think I've done it more than maybe twice per figure, if at all.

All of my Classics & Henkei seekers are fine. Thanks for the info; I'll be sure to be extra careful moving those wings from now on.

My 1st skywarp did that I and boxed him up and returned him. The second one just cracked a few months ago after years of being transformed regularly which I thought was odd. My Botcon TC doesn't have this problem yet, however it's only been Transformed once and put in my glass deltof. Ill look when I get home at him to be sure he is ok.

My Universe Starscream and Acid Storm are fine. Oddly, one tailfin of the type in question on my Acid Storm is a bit tighter than the two on my Screamer, and the other one on my Acid storm is loosey-goosey (it slightly hangs down in plane mode).

But other than that, my seekers are fine.

I didn't bother to knock the pins out. I took the chance that the offending parts wouldn't break on the first go around (from anecdotal evidence, it seemed that repetitive stress causes the break).

I bent the tailfins the wrong way to expose the offending edge, shaved and sanded it down, and popped the parts back in.

However, I'm not sure if this poses a risk to Thundercracker, with the swirled metallic plastic. Having missed out on Henkei Thundercracker (and also not particularly caring for his slavish G1 deco), my Thundercracker is a custom repainted Starscream.

All of my classic seekers have this cracking problem. I never fold up the tailfin and they still crack. When I fold the feet down its cracked there on the sides too. Henkei Starscream had that problem but they seem to have fixed it with Henkei Thundercracker, Skywarp, Thrust and Dirge. Their feet fold down smoothly to prevent cracking on the sides.

My Universe Starscream has a cracked seam. Yours, however, ouch. That is not a problem with the seam like mine is, because it isn't in the same spot, and it's not a straight line.

My Classics Starscream has cracks in that spot on both tailfins but my Classics Skywarp and TFU 2.0 Acid Storm don't and the joint feels looser in general on those two figures.

From what I've heard, that cracking was a common problem with the mold. Apparently, they fixed the mold from Acid Storm onwards.

I just checked my classic seekers. Universe Starscream and Classics Skywarp are fine, though there is a hairline crack on my Classics Starscream, on the right tailfin. To those interested in preventing cracking of these parts, just shave of some plastic shown on the pics:

I've always been scared to death of that joint, expecially on my Thundercracker. I always try to pres against the swivel along with the tailfin so there's some sort of pressure being applied evenly. Sorry yours got a crack that sucks :(

Checked mine this past weekend and all of my Henkei seekers are fine. I don't transform them at all (got SS SW TC x2 each).
