I've had mine for 6 months or so, I bought it on ebay. It's been displayed in a glass case since. I've transformed it maybe once or twice. Anyway, I was asked by a Chinese buyer about a "defect" that occurs pretty frequently with TC. He sent me a picture of a crack on the plastic holding the rear fin. I looked at mine and sure enough there was a crack. Needless to say, I took a reduced offer to sell it. He says he's seen a few TC with such crack. However, new in box TC don't have that problem. I notice the fins are tight and I guess moving them causes a crack. Maybe you should take a look at yours.

I would advise anyone buying seekers to inquire about the possibility of there being a crack.

That sucks, mine (before I sold it) had no cracks like that. Weird.

Maybe it's joint is to tight.

nope mines all minty and non cracked, could be a tight joint or just a small bit of bad quality plastic

my acid storm doesn't seem to have any cracks there, but if there was a known weakness they may have fixed it.

I kinda remember one of my Seekers doing that, just don't remember which one. The mold's been used so many damn times at this point its hard to pinpoint who did what.

A small piece broke off on the same area on my Botcon Thundercracker as well. :(  Overall, the quality of the toy is still good but I'm definitely being careful with him.

It's a fairly common problem with the Classics Seeker mould in general; the joint is extremely tight. Botcon Thundercracker seems especially prone to it, possibly because of the plastic having the metallic flecks in it.

My initial classics Starscream suffered from this right out of the box (returned it for a new one, havn't transformed that much) and one of my two Skywarps has a cracked joint as well. Def. a problem with the joint being too tight, those joints are looser on my Acidstorm and he's the only one not affected.
