It's possible that it may be Hot Shot,Jazz,or maybe even Ultra Magnus.

 

I'm not trying to be overly negative, but many plot synopses for this show have created ambitious speculation, but the way the plot played out during the actual episode usually turns out fairly mundane. When I saw something about Arcee's "old friend," I didn't even think "new cast member." Couldn't it be Ratchet? Even Bulkhead?

 

I have no idea where you guys are getting Jazz or Sideswipe.

Her buddy is obviously TwinTwist.  

 

doubt its Magnus. chief of wreckers being friends with a bot that wasn't a wrecker instead of being the friend/rival of prime and other wreckers on the team? dunno. Judging from what we heard at hall of fame, it's cliff...flashback, but with the way things sound, I've been speculating that it's Tailgate via Shockwave experiment. Tailgate probably was never dead this whole time and was saved by Shockwave from the brink of death--just throwin' ideas out there, especially since cloning IS SO LAME.

hope it isn't hot shot just because Hot Shot will be another remold/paint/tool of an already existing model. Bring on Jazz though! (Although...he woulnd't be chummy with Prime like we all wanted)

I have to say having Tailgate alive this whole time by Shockwave's hands would be a pretty major twist but then wouldn't it also cheapen the idea of Arcee being scarred in the frist place? It could be me though.

Well I mentioned in another thread (can't remember where) and ever since Armada, that Airachnid's escape from her prison wouldn't be an escape. I think the Autbots will have to set her free themselves for a greater purpose--so finding out Tailgate is alive might actually 'soften' the relationship between Airachnid and Arcee. She won't downright enjoy her company, but there won't be any murderous anger we've seen in the past.

Plus with Airachnid's possible connection to Shockwave, that could be how Shockwave became aware of the corpse...

Not saying it's a good idea, but it cna go places if it's executed =P

 

That's true. I mean while Arcee won't be as furious at Airachnid after that she'll still be nagry that Airachnid tried to kill Jack and June and I wouldn't be suprised if Airachnid tried to do that again. And I always figured too that Arachnid has connections to Shockwave as one of the first sucessful experaments of using animal alt modes. Perhaps having Tailgate be a new experament could be part of the deal.

 

I'm praying for Jazz, as in FoC Jazz and Cliff have a 'buddy-cop' dynamic going on (though interesting, as Jazz was supposed to be 'best pals' with Optimus).

I would be very pleased if the old friend in question turns out to be Jazz, but if not, I think it would be pretty sweet and a nice nod to G1 if that friend is an airborne Autobot, Springer
