That thing looks like it would hurt, much like that stupid puck mouse they had. On the other hand, the increased space between the keys seems like an actual attempt at improvement.

I want the customizable keyboard where each key is its own LCD screen. I forget what it's called.

I can't quite tell scale, but is it a larger size than a standard 101 layout? Or is it just some flat buttoned bastage and a guy with odd hands holding it?

    Wow. That looks painful.

Apple's proved me wrong more than once, but I keep waiting for them to turn out to be to hip for their own good.

    Seriously, that exists? Sounds cool!

As for this keyboard, it looks cheap unless I'm missing something...

Then again I'm biased against all things Apple.... what? I was touched inappropriately by a Mac as a child.

Well, I'm a Mac user and my main computer is a laptop, so I'm used to the compact keyboard and sort of "shallow" (low) keys. I would want to see this thing and try it out first-hand before I formed an opinion. But it seems to me like if most people are familiar and comfortable with a certain kind of keyboard, why change it? Is this supposed to be better? More ergonomic? Or just spiffy-looking?

    "fuck you, hands"

honestly, coming into this topic, I fully expected it to have just one key.

Isnt it the "optimus" keyboard or something? I know what you're talking about, and it's cool as hell. user-set high res images displayed on each key (and backlit) depending on the application.

flat screens are ok, flat music players are ok, and flat touchscreens phones are ok too, they're stylish.
but flat keyboards!? are they hiring monkeys to design their new products !?

Talking 'bout keyboards, did you guys now that there is this new magnetic keyboard in which you can adjust the magnetic pull on the keys to match how hard you press the keys?

Ladies and gentlemen, I present "Exhibit Y" of why I dont like Apple's computers.

Also, shame about the Optimus Maximus costing so much. Its one of the coolest looking things ever, and if it was priced right, I could totally see myself caving and spending a fairly nice chunk of change on it. Sadly, $1700 is wayyyyy too much. Bring it down to $300 then I'll start drooling over it again.
