Any Mac fans out there? The MacWorld keynote is about to begin. I'm excited, this should be good!
And here I thought I was the only TFW2005 Mac dude.
Since I am at work I just have this page up: http://www.macrumorslive.com/
So I can keep updated, but I will watch the stream sometime tonight. Steve Jobs always sucks me into the RDF
I'm so burned out on CES announcements that I could care less about Apple right now.
no you're not the only Mac guy on the boards.
I didn't know the Keynote was today though. new ipod hoooo!
I haven't used a Mac since High school.. but still have love for them
I am not a mac guy, but I have been waiting for the GD ipod/phone for years. They better announce it today or I am gonna hit Jobs with a pie.
So far announced: iTV (which we already knew about)
and the iPhone
Damned, the iPhone is pretty. And packed with stuff.
If the battery life is longer than twenty minutes and it doesn't cost an absolute fortune then I'm sold.
I am desperatley trying to fin pics of the iphone, I missed it's announcement
Steve's been talking about it for the last 40 minutes.
click the link I provided earlier, its all there, and being refreshed every 60 seconds
wtf is the link to the live broadcast? I only got a cnn 3 minute pipeline preview
Excuse me, I have to go get a towel to clean the drool off my keyboard.
iPhone: 16 hour battery life, 5 hour battery life (audio), $499 for 4GB, $599 for 8GB. Available in June, Cingular is exclusive parter for this phone
UPDATE: And apparently those prices are WITH a 2 yr Cingular contract!
If the European price translates at actual exchange rates or very near enough then I'm willing to pay that.
But if it's $=£ then no.
Wow. I cant believe people are into this. I remember back in the day when you could get get all that and more in a PSP + regular old cell phone that you already have and spend less than $500... oh wait. That was actually around Christmas less than a month ago.
So now those of us into the tech news will get to hear fanboys rave about this piece of shit for the next few months. As if the rumors of it were not bad enough.
Face it people. Steve Jobs is nothing more than a scummy used car salesman. But too many Apple people will sheepishly take anything he sells. And they'll gladly overpay for it. And then they'll rave about how "great" it is. 5 hours of battery life??? You've got to be fucking kidding me. How are normal people going to use that in any sort of piratical way? Hope you remember to recharge every day. I remember another multitasking gadget that costs $599 US dollars, had features that were not completely new, and came from an overly arrogant company. But that device was also labeled "too expensive" by the general public. Go figure.
Oh well. When the new version comes out with the battery life it should have had in the first place I'm sure you'll all gladly pony over your money for it all over again. And then again when they add the extra features such as song sharing and radio that the Zune already has. And then another time when they add more memory.
On a positive note, its nice looking. But it also looks like it will be all scratched all to hell if an eyelash fell on it.
You've got to be kidding me. And you actually used a PSP as a counter? C'mon man.
You really think that all the buzz over products like this is 'apple people'?
...I must have missed something. Counter? Like a stopwatch? or a calculator? Explain please. I didn't see that from the info that I got.
And yes. All the buzz over this is from Apple fans. I know this because the buzz started many months ago, and all the Apple fans were gushing.
