    Mataku! I hope MS loses.

Now for the obligatory, "It's all about the civil suits baby."

Microsoft is in the right. They had a contract, Immersion broke it.

Based on the information provided it appears that Microsoft entered an agreement with Immersion that Immersion has not honored.

    They are in the right.

Don't enter into a contract you don't plan to honor. But the behind the scenes lawsuits that will have little effect on my games really don't interest me that much.

That's the general response I see from a lot of people, but it still seems like dirty pool... Sony gets sued, settles... and Microsoft gets a cut of the settlement.... or is THIS how they're getting the money back for the GTA exclusive?

Didn't we see this coming? MS snatched up some percentage of Immersion in their original settlement. This is Immersion not thinking and MS taking advantage of a top-notch legal advice team.

I don't see how it gets any better for a company that having your rival pay a third party and you swoop in and take that money away. Pretty ingenious.

I thought this was already settled and they had a new friendship going on.

Yeah, but I sure as hell didn't know that M$was actually getting a CUT of the Sony settlement!

More proof that Micro$oft is behind Sony's legal trouble?

Yea MS and Sony were presented with the exact same lawsuit, MS was ready to settle and Sony wasn't, so MS took advantage of the situation and got some ownership of a company that they knew Sony was going to have to pay.

Sony is responsible for their own mess for not taking the original suit seriously enough.

I think that snippet of your dialogue sums up Sony's entire current business situation.

MS sold their stake in Immersion not long after they had bought it.

Anyway Immersions pretty much admitted they're boned and screwed up.

And you couldn't take a hint from the extra "a"s that I was being sarcastic?

I KNOW what you had a problem with, and I'm sorry that you feel that way, but as of late, I've been seeing a LOT that makes me think this. maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong, but that's my opinion, Boardwise.
