A while back, I posted a thread entitled "Voyager Blackout Disappointment Thread".

However, I now take that back, and state that he's possibly one of the best Transformers ever made, and certainly the coolest Helicopter ever.

I'm not too fond of his face and he's still got that baby blue tint, bt for the most part he looks very awesome. And Scorpy is love.

I hope we're cool, Voyager Blackout.

From the pics I've seen, it looks like he was designed with a stand in his back because he's so back heavy. Is that correct? This is one of the ones that I'm most looking forward to getting on June 2.

On the subject of his back, anyone notice that without the back piece with him, he looks fairly similar to his prequel comic protoform version.

Very much looking forward to this guy. I think its safe to say he's the breakout star of this new cast so far.

My one will stand on just its feet.
Big of you to state your altered opinion, Scraggin. Kudos. And yes; Blackout's a superb toy.

Just so you know Draven, no hard feelings :)  Sorry if I come off as a bit miffed at everyone, I'm not really that much of an ass, I just don't like the way a lot of topics go but I've come to the conclusion that nobody is really at fault for that, it's bound to happen with any kind of change.

I think most people can agree Blackout is awesome though.

Definitely high on my to-be-bought list, I'm putting him with Deluxe Brawl/Wreckage/Bonecrusher and the Legends cars as the 'smaller scale' shelf. :D

You know he's pretty much in scale with LOC Jazz and Barricade? You could shove him in with the LOCs altogether. I very much recommend Barricade, he's amazing for an LOC. I think I nearly like his LOC better than his movie design... it's just so nifty :)

The leg joints eventually loosen and then yes, the tail-end of the backpack acts as a supporting leg. Also you have to be quite careful of the lock-in peg mechanism ofthe shoulders in robot mode - they get stressed out easily and you can start seeing the white stress marks around the peg.

I've started to notice that as well... kind of a bummer, but hopefully not too serious.

I can't help wishing that Blackout was
    A) flatter in texture (the colour is okay, but it has a very plastic shine to it),
    B) bigger, and
    C) a bit less kibbly.

I mean, he's awesome in so many ways, but fully half the helicopter becomes this leftover-looking chunk of awkward kibble. It would have been awesome if they'd found a way to fold that up an extra step or something.

Still fun to play with. Lately I've been amusing myself by having his arms transformed and hanging out in copter mode. :)

I swore to myself I would narrow down my street date buys to one deluxe and one voyager of each faction. Blackout hasn't left my list since I first saw a picture of him. Something about that design just screams awesome at me. I seriously can't wait to have him in my hands.
