Here, from Idwpublishing.com :
Still need a gun for my B'boom. This figures was pretty cool, the pop out cannons were neat. Just don't like his upside down robot feet
As nice as that is, it's rather surprising that they're doing profiles for the Japanese repaints who look EXACTLY THE SAME as their U.S. versions. I mean, talk about getting folks confused...
Wrong forum buddy, I think this deserves to go in News.
I wonder what happen if Apache and B' Boom met
they would teach each other their respective languages and take each other's place back home... the transformer trap.
Hm, that I don't see everyday...
I guess that means we're getting Tripledacus too! I wander if there's going to be a reason he looks like Tripredicus
This is odd to me. I want these, but with them covering both US and Japan releases, how do they decide which side to do since some US were Predacons while the Japanese versions is a maximal?
YEY I love profile books there awsome I loved MTMTE and I will love this it will be slightly odd having two profiles for each mold but meh just more pages to read through lol
oh and will this be covering BWII and neo?
Yes, it's been confirmed that the Japanese series II and Neo are in here. Apache is from Beast Wars II, and we've also seen the profile for Bazooka, a Beast Wars Neo character.
I don't mind that they are including some Japanese exclusives, but this book is being released in the U.S., so give him his U.S. name.
What? He's going to be in there with his North American name as well as the Japanese character.
BW Apache and BW B-Boom are two entirely different characters - much like G1 Sideswipe and G1 Red Alert are different characters. They just happen to have the same toy mold and transformation.
Very impressive. Definitely picking this up when it comes out.
Do we know for sure that B'boom will be in the comic? Maybe with the toys thatrs that are exactly the same but with different names IDW will just pick one or the other.
I wish they had called Lio Convoy "Lio Primal" or something.
The name "Convoy" just doesn't apply to any American\European continuity and it makes even less sense when it's applied to a lion.
We know because B'Boom was already in The Gathering.
I would bet a large sum that both B'boom and Apache will be there. This is a character profile book, not a toy profile book. Apache and B'boom are different characters, so they'll both be in here.
IDW is definitely using both sets of characters in these books. I'm working as one of the many pencilers/inkers for issues #3 and #4, therefore, I can confirm that. An example is Silverbolt (the original eagle from season 1 - part of Magnaboss; NOT the fuzor eagle/wolf) who appears as one profile entry and Skywarp (his japanese counterpart) also has a separate entry.
In some cases you get guys who may look identical but there are differences i.e. Powerpinch and Scissorboy - same toy mold, fairly similar colour schemes, but one is a Predacon and the other a Maximal.
Separate names with a comma.
