Florida Gators make preseason AP poll history with widest margin for No. 1 - ESPN I can respect the rankings, though i am surprised (pleasantly) that Alabama made it into the top 5. I kinda hope Tebow can win a 3rd Championship and a second Heisman if only for the dream i have had of him cruising by the Manning households to flash the bling in their faces, lol. man, i am ready for 2009!
I think the bling of a super bowl ring from each Manning beats anything Tebow could get. Plus the possibility he doesn't even make it in the NFL and if he does won;t command near the $$ those 2 do I don't see them winning a 3rd especially since they don't get the home field advantage this time which basically handed them the title last year.
It's always tough to do it all over again. but twice in three years, and they're pretty much the same team again this year. They should do decently. Go Gators!
I honestly can't wait to see what happens, the Gators have been superb these last few years and Tebow has really pulled out all the stops. I'm definitely watching every game I can. GO GATORS!!!
I am just hating on the Manning boys. never have liked 'em. I really want Saban and the Tide to pull out a SEC championship this year. Wonder how Bobby Bowden feels at the moment? he did say he wanted one more national title before he stepped down and i don't think i see it happening.
I just cannot see Florida winning a 3rd Championship title, I think they are over rated right now. I agree what you said about Bowden. He might as well give it up and retire. Jimbo Fisher is calling the plays now and fsu is paying Bowden just to stand around on the sidelines and being an icon.

I'm so tired of the Florida Gators.... Namely because I go to school with 2 gator alums.... They have HUGE egos. First of all... I grew up in big 12 country, I know how Crappy Oklahoma is lol. Oklahoma has been crushed in BCS games how many years in a row now? They made Boise look like a Juggernaut. I guess its not really Florida's fault but the SEC really benefits from the BCS set up. They are guaranteed a spot in the title game every year. Look at LSU, 2 loss team and they went into the BCS against a crappy Ohio State. It seems like the BCS only got it right once, which was Texas-USC. A playoff would be amazing for College football. can you image? after last years BCS games, you could have USC-Texas, Utah-Florida. Not sure how to throw Virginia Tech into the mix but whatever, College football is the only sport that is unable to make a unanimous champion. The Fans and kids are truly robbed in this sport. sorry to jump on my soap box...
i get tired myself of certain things in NCAA Football. USC and Texas aren't always the best. and there are coaches who should be collecting unemployment instead of press conferences explaining how they got their number 4 ass whooped by The University of Hayseed John Deere's. but i suppose that is part of the charm. overinflated egos deflated by just the right team. Coaches flustered by a defensive strategy not used since the Roman legions... but i will be the first to tell you, if my team loses to a team that shouldn't have even scored. well. we deserved it because we didn't do something right. i am ready for bad food, damn good pigskin and upsets galore.
I'm not a fan of any SEC team but my money is on Alabama for the SEC title this year. Saban is putting together a fighting force of extraordinary magnitude. I see Florida's SEC dominance coming to an end.
