I have a friend who installed AOL broadband and in the process his IE browser got disabled. He wants to get it back.
Does anyone know how to do this? We have both search the internet looking for an answer, but with no luck.

I believe you can, well, basically re-install or turn it back on in "My Computer" somewhere. Sadly, I can remember how to do it, but I did the same thing once when I installed firefox and my Braodband.

The first, second, and third problem was installing anything AOL.

I don't have any solutions though beyond not using AOL.

    AOL.... :lol

Yeah. The only way to fix that is to get rid of it entirely.
AOL will screw a computer sideways.

AOL? Honey, I'm so sorry...I honestly wish your friend the best of luck getting that thing's fingers out of his pies. I remember uninstalling AOL from people's computers and finding endless references to it left in the system registry, spare "shared" files," random temp folders both in the shared and my documents...Blegh.

Easy way to solve the problem. Ditch AOL and get Earthlink Broadband. Cheaper and better customer service. Hell, all these new AOL comercials adverising all the new security features make me laugh so hard cause I already had them for about a year now. That plus 10 E-Mail addresses and 10 free websites did it for me to. Oh yeh, and only $40.00 a month. I know there is cheaper, but not in my area, unless I get DSL.

    AOL Owns Earthlink.

They use Earthlink to test things before putting it in the AOL crapware.

    What?

Last I checked, EarthLink was its own publicly-traded company.

I must be mistaken then. I could have sworn AOL bought Earthlink a year or so back.

Thanks guys for any hepl. My friend found away around It though Install FireFox.

AOL disables it because if IE was still there is means it fucks up thier parental controls.
