I think they'll just cheat - they managed to shrink Starscream down - his entire canopy was about 11 feet long and remained whole in bot mode, which goes to show how much artistic licence they took lol

ok so lets say the rusted cab turns out to not be OP. Which im now hoping that its not if these 2 trucks are that much different in size. Id have to go with the rumored ancient Vector Prime or Magnus.

while I have to agree, there is one thing that they really kept to in the last 3 movies. And that was most of the Cons were made to be a lot bigger in Robot mode than the Bots and the Con Alt mode were generally larger then their robot modes so most of the Cons shrunk down when they transformed and became more compact. Almost ever Bot stayed close to his vehicle size even in robot mode.

But if the old rusted truck is also OP its 22.7 feet long and if the new numbers on the western star are corrects its 47.7 feet long. The new truck is more than twice the length. OP will have to do some major mass shifting or, if the rusted truck is him and he gets captured, something has to happen to the point like in TFs PRIME where he some how gets a whole new body. 25 feet of truck is a lot to mass shift either way if hes going to be the same size in robot mode in both truck modes.

Yeah, he may well get an entire new body I suppose depending on what happens.

All the newer western star truck lengths im finding are around 37 feet long. Where did you find the 47 feet at Ring3r?

And I had Evac look it up too and all hes finding is 37 feet for the newer western star trucks and the old OP Peterbuilt is 29 feet long. OP was 28 foot tall then so 1 foot shorter in robot mode. So lets just say the 37 foot length both me and Evac seem to keep finding holds up for the new western star truck. The new OP should be around 35 to 36 foot tall

Western Star has the truck's stats listed right on their website. The 4900SB, which is what Prime is, has a wheelbase of 448 inches in 6 axle form. That's from the centerline of the front axle to the centerline of the second rear axle.

That's 37 feet, and it's probably what those people are finding, but that doesn't include any of the bodywork. Look at the pictures....see how far over the front axle the bodywork extends? It also doesn't include the back half of the rear tire. It's just from axle to axle.

Wheelbase is not the same thing as vehicle length.

The front fender is maybe a foot and a half to 2 feet more than the front wheels bud. I've been right up next to the new OP truck. And you said 6 axels? The truck only has 3 axels don't it? Lol.

My point it 37 foot to maybe 39 foot with the front fenders/bumper is probably what this truck is.

Sorry, 3 axles. lol sorry I'm thinking of tires.

Well I feel like a bit of a chump - I AGAIN miscalculated my figures, applied the ratio to 484 instead of 448. Stupid transposed numbers.

So I was off but it's certainly not 37-39 feet. 37 feet is the raw wheelbase. I'm editing this post and attaching the pic along with my actual calculations so you can see.

Dimensions on very large objects are very hard to tell even when you're sitting right next to it...the front overhang on that truck is more like 4+ feet past the centerline of the front axle. The tire alone is nearly 4 feet in diameter and the wheelbase is measured from the center of it....so that's the additional 2 feet you were missing right there. The overhang isn't measured from the end of the tire..it's measured from the center of it.

So that's almost 4 feet right there at the front, plus an additional ~15 inches at the back because of the tire itself.

You can see right there...from the center of the front tire to the end of the bodywork is close to how tall those men are. It's not 1.5 feet.

Adjusted numbers come to 505 inches, which is 42 feet almost on the nose. Sorry for the confusion, I transposed 484 with 448 when I first started the calcultions.

Thanks, it really helps but Hound is a tad smaller than Optimus. How can Optimus be 573 while Hound is just 286, I don't get that big difference.

Because I don't have the full render yet, the only one I have is bending so it's not good for size charts.

It's basically ready, I just need confirmations if those are really cons or not.

Prime is 505 inches long, I had to revise my figures because I transposed 484 and 448 in the initial calculation. I edited back into my previous post.

286 seems a bit small for that vehicle though, that's only 23 feet. What specific model is it and how was that figure reached?

Semi trucks are deceptively long, because all their bodywork is located up front. People's brains aren't used to seeing that and they kind of discount a lot of the length because the proportions are so weird.

    It's FMTV 6x6. I looked into Oshkosh's own catalog;

Wow Tunakaan, so will this much precision and perfection be applied to everyone on your chart? If so are plans to include all Transformers we've see thus far be incorporated?
