Think TF Colombia have pics of variant packaging for some of the earlier Power Attackers too. Edit: Ok, maybe just one, though there's a second variant of Optimushttps://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.10152063846767000&type=1
Ok, seriously? I think this one is pretty nice. Not a big fan of most of the other power battlers, but that Galvatron is awesome!
I'M SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS PACKAGE CHANGE! Ugh. The deluxes and power battlers look way too similar on the pegs. This is a welcome change, as it actually makes it to where children, and even many collectors, can discern between the two for once.
^This. As much as I like lots of character art on packaging, I also prefer a half-way decent view of the toy inside for breakage and/or paint app issues. Then again, there are always returns.
The first one of these is the multilingual European packaging, the second one is the trilingual packaging for Canada and Latin America. You should actually recognize the European one, seeing as you're from the UK.
I kinda wish they'd do this with the generations AOE figures. It's a bit similar to how Takara did a lot of their deluxes like for the UT and TF Prime and it looks easier to not wreck upon opening. Also gotta disagree that this is any more misleading than what we already have as this makes them different enough to identify instead of so similar they end up on the same pegs as the generations because the store people can't tell at a glance.
With QC being a thing, I'm not big on not being able to visually inspect the toy before buying. Not that I'd buy it. But it looks kinda cool. And it's Galvatron. Who's cool.
I probably would if I was interested enough in them to take a close enough look at them in the shops. As it was, I literally just shared what TF Colombia posted.
I kind of think the deluxe figures should've been packaged in similar boxes to the voyagers and leaders to distinguish them as Generations figures and also accentuate the 'collector' side of things they were trying to push for them.
Yeah, my guess is they've finally realized most stores and customers can't distinguish between the Battlers line then the Generations deluxes, the packaging is just too similar. Even after the aisles have been resorted, I can't think of a time when I checked and saw the lines clearly separated. Also, they may be trying to obscure just how bad many of those figures look in person.
