The past 2 movies have had a novel released before the film that offered up potential spoilers galore to people, but i havent heard or seen anything of one for transformers 4...whats the scoop?

So far I believe there is no word on any comic adaptation or novelization. If there is, it'll definitely be released after the movie.

Doubt there will be one. If there is, won't be until after the movie.

I was just wondering this myself... And all 3 previous films have had novelizations, not just the last 2.

A novel bridging the gap between DoTM and AOE could by awesome. I wish they would write one.

I don't know if this was ever confirmed, but I swear I read an article that said there wouldn't be any novel adaptation because of how many major spoilers for DOTM were leaked online.

IDW did confirm they would be doing a comic adaptation but it would not release until after the movie. But no movie book has been confirmed.

Good I hope there is none. I remember the DOTM comic on amazon. They leaked preview pictures that spoiled sentinel prime and some other stuff

i'm glad there haven't been any book or comics that spoil the movie prior to its release.. they definitely ruined dotm for me as far as the story went.

i'm just too curious not to check them, so, it's better for me that they don't exist for the time being lol. i'm sorry for those who were looking forward to being spoiled prior to the movie.

Just to let you know, the comic and the novelization of DOTM came out BEFORE the movie. Was glad I didn't buy the comic at the time to avoid spoilers. I was so hoping for some epic like in the film, but nope.avi. In the comic, the fights last 3 PANELS maximum, 1 PANEL minimum. Wanted to burn the darn book sooo bad.

Those things aren't accurate to the film anyway.

Bay gave a big "NO". The DOTM Comic Adaptation Leak ruined the entire plot of TF3. So, on that day he said there won't be any Adaptation material for future Transformers movies.

IDW did announce that there will be some material, but no release date was given.

The DOTM book was nothing like the movie lol.

The Dreads freeway fight scene was much better in the book and much longer.
The Dreads fight scene with Ironhide was far different and Ironhide killed like 5 dreads all by himself lol. Skids and Mudflap even wanted to get in on the action and help Ironhide out, yet Ratchet stopped them. The twins actually tried to fight Sentinel after he killed Ironhide and because of the twins distracting Sentinel, that's how the other Bots were able to sneak away.

The scene with Sentinel at the park with the kids was great! The DC battle was far longer and better. Dino being Mirage and sneaking around and cloaking was bad ass. Starscream killing mirage by ripping off his head off. Wheeljack/Que being killed by falling in the river and being ripped apart by Cons in the water was far more brutal and dark.

The interaction between the TFs was far better too.

    Sentinel Prime killed Ironhide!

While that was fun, I think the filmmakers want to avoid that same scenario occurring with AOE. And I can't blame them either. At least ROTF had some interesting tie-in comics (Alliance, Defiance, Tales of the Fallen) though, so maybe this film will do the same.

THAT was in the book? I must have gotten the book rather than the crappy comic. It's said that the novelizations were based off the early drafts of the film to avoid spoilers. Ironhide was still killed, Sentinel was still the traitor, so it was still kind of the same.

I think it's good there isn't one already so the major plot twists haven't been spoiled.
