I recently got to this IDW comic and noticed how much this looks like Tokyo Toy Show WFC Megatron:

I wish either Hasbro Takara,or at least a third party company can make an actual toy of the IDW Ongoing Megatron because he looks so flipping AWSOME!!!

I think this is what this is. I mean, 90% of this figure is from that comic.

There are very small things that can be changed to make it 100% identical.

They don't looks that much the same. The IDW Megatron looks Gundamish and the WFC one doesn't.

The only similarities I see are the colors, the cannon, and that they are both Megatron.

That Megatron is DAMN fine. I may buy it and sell off the original version.

I haven't read any IDW with him in that form. It's very solid based on the preview pages and covers I've seen online.

The Prime from that set is even nicer-looking, if that's even possible.

yeah apart from the fact that he looks NOTHING like Megatron. the design is an excellent Transformer design.

Don's Tf designs from the past few years really got away from some of my favorite aesthitic features over the past few years: this Megatron. flat chest Jazz and god-awful 'Rodimus'.

It's like E.J Su never happened. Sigh.

It sure reminded me of the comics when I got it. Damn good looking figure regardless too.

Why? It is because this new style isn't your thing? I mean we have our opinons and I really respect that, but this megatron does have aspects of the classic G1 Megatron. It might have been worse, Megatron could have been designed by that guy who drew the artwork for Transformers Nefarious.Jeez was that art awful!!!!!

If you wanted to conceivably you could make a custom version using Generations Scourge mixed in with the WFC megatron and simply used styrene to modify the combine figure further. paint it black/purple and your done the hardest part would be the cannon.

I would love to see someone try it.
