    Ebay:
Hopefully it continues to grow and becomes a true competitor to ebay.

    Ebay:
Yeah, I'm starting to notice the hit between those two things and shipping.

The only way it will grow is if we start using it, ebay seems to be moving away from the garage sale / niche collectable markets which made them great, also ebids fees are miles better, no listing or final value fees, WOOP! WOOP!

sure you can get a few thousand people to use it, but that's like trying to get people to use some random new search engine instead of google.

    not going to happen.

besides, I'm sure these ebid guys would eventually charge fees, etc...ebay used to be free too, right?

    touché...

I think I might take a look at this ebid. :)

Now all we need is an alternative to PayPal...BidPay was awesome when they had their online money order system.

ebay owns paypal. at this point, they will be the online auction and payment system for generations to come. it's impossible to stop them, much like microsoft.

i tried ebid, i can't even find 1 of anything i am usually looking for.

Yes. :D  Just like Paypal, only I'm not restricted for 'suspicious activity'.

It would be great if ebid could become a serious rival to ebay, as has been said though, I can never find anything I want on it.

Hope it works for you though Red Leader, boo to ebay!
