Seems legit. But I wouldn't classify that as Grimlock. Maybe a character made especially for the movieverse, but Grimlock needs to somewhat LOOK like a T-rex

I think the dinobots should be old military from one of the world wars. Just because they are called dinobots doesnt mean they need to be dinosaurs.

Second time this has been posted here. Please explain what you're trying to say by 'wouldn't fit'.

Sure, keep telling yourself that, buddy.

Are you suggesting there can't be dinosaur Transformers because Cybertron has no dinosaur-like creatures? For one we don't know all the body types Cybertron might have. Each movie throws up new body shapes so anything is possible, even dino shapes. And for two, I suppose Cybertron is full of birds, Scorpions, big cats and insects to explain Laserbeak, Scorponok, Ravage, Insections and that earwig watch thing from DotM. And if it's possible those I just mentioned took on their animal forms because they encountered them on Earth then it's just as possible for a Transformer to encounter dinosaur information on Earth, even if they can't encounter an actual live dinosaur (unless they were here sixty-five million years ago and met one). And then there's the wormy tentacled Driller thing too.

However if you're not suggesting 'no Cybertron dinos = no dinosaur robots in BayFormers' then please clarify what you meant.
    Haters gotta hate, mate. :p

Personally I think it would fit in fine with the BayFormer look. Would I like something a bit more Geeeeeeeeewuuuuun for a Grimlock? Sure. But for a BayFormer-design Grimlock it works.

Just use "dinobot hunt" from the uk comic as a basis...

Solves where they came from and storyline for the film in one.

By the sheer overpowering force of awesome that he's radiating out his pores.

....I fail to see how that would be a problem or a limitation. Expanding on the history, mythology and diversity of Cybertron in a Transformers film, perish the the thought >.>

You're right of course, there is absolutely no design similarity between these two things what-so-ever. No sir, chalk and cheese.......

OT: Yes please, take my money and make it so :D

Personally, I think it fits like a glove with the movieverse. Giant, mechanical, spiky robot dinosaur? :bay  Plus, I'm sure that once more concepts would be made and finalized and ILM whips up their model, it'd look super amazing. That's the only thing that would make my life complete: Seeing a rampaging robotic Tyrannosaurus Rex in a live-action Transformers movie. Jurassic Park and Transformers are my two favourite movie franchises. It's like putting them together! :D

Oh, and Bellpeppers, it's obviously not Smokescreen. That's totally Cosmos, okay? It's got them circles on its legs! Just like Cosmos is sort of a circle in alt mode! Kind of... ;)

    Most certainly approve!

Just a matter IF they want to use the Dinobots and IF so, how they will go about designing them for their role.

IMHO, it would be criminal to exclude the Dinobots in any of the movies.

I preferred the skeleton concept of TFilm Grimlock seen around. It was more original and seemed to work better for the movieverse in my opinion.

I like it. Though with all those spikes it reminds me of a Spinosaurus.

Why wouldn't it fit? We so far have:

Scorponok as a vehicle sized scorpion.
Both Ravage and his giant-by-transformer-standards version as some type of wild cat/wolf seen on cybertron war.
    Laserbeak as mechanical condor
Driller as, um, giant mechanic thingy?
    And Insecticon.

So, i guess it wouldnt look more absurd than some of those. Doesn't even need a backstory. If they have giant cats in cybertron, they can as well as have t-rex type creatures, too.

Perfect. It has that look that Ravage and Scorponok had, that they are basically alien animals, but closely resemble a panther and scorpion respectively. That's how I've pictured Grimlock, as just a beast that closely resembles a T-Rex rather than a full-fledged mechanical T-Rex.
