missed out on the classics one. i'm sure some people did too. i remember it sitting on the shelves a long time ago too. now it's so expensive or hard to find. anyone think hasbro will release generations or rts cliffjumper from rts bumblebee?
damn it would be cool though. they went out of their way to milk the wfc bumblebee mold and make wfc cliffjumper with a new head.
And that's why they won't rerelease Classics Cliffjumper. The market can support various Bumble bees at the same time. Not so much Cliffjumper.
That's may be Hasbro's stance, but I'm wondering why Takara haven't attempted a Classics Cliffjumper with a new head. If they went the extra mile for Dirge and Thrust, I'm sure releasing Cliff will satisfy enough demand.
Well let's see. Takara doesn't really do repaints. At the time Henkei was out they went with Legends sized Cliffjumper instead. They won't make one now because they also have WFC Cliffjumper in their United line. Classics Cliffjumper would have to be an exclusive of some sort and I just don't think he'd sell all too well for an exclusive. Takara did make the seeker exclusives but come on... Cliff is nowhere near as popular as the seekers.
I managed to get one from Junkion Exchange. The head doesn't bother me as much as some. I do however wish that Hasbro would make an accessory set for some figures. That 3rd party cannon is costly for CJ.

No, I doubt that would happen. But I would buy it, even though I have the original. Can't get enough of that mold! What I REALLY want though is for it to be released in blue (Glyph) and in green (Tap-Out) but that wont happen either (yeah I know of that blue bumblebee repaint that takara cancelled).
Considering the first Classics Cliffjumper wasn't a fast seller, it doesn't make business sense to release it again. Also, Hasbro has made their $$ on the Classics BB mold so no reason to put out a CJ. Hasbro needed a repaint out of WFC BB so that explains WFC CJ.
I might as well buy an extra RtS Bumblebee and paint him red, then give him my WFC Cliffjumper's head. The mold is simple enough that I don't think I'd have too much of a problem, asside from needing to paint over the already painted clear plastic. But an official RtS release could be cool too, I guess.
I can't agree enough with you. It doesn't matter what addon kits come out for the guy, the grey is just atrocious. I, too, was hoping for a new redeco of the classics mold in a nice, solid, red. But the realist in me is pretty sure it's not gonna happen.
I could see a 3-pack with slight repaints of Classics Cliffjumper, Skywarp, and Ramjet, possibly a store exclusive. That would be a great chance for fans to get those now-ridiculously expensive figures. But then, that's just a dream. I doubt we'll be seeing another CJ any time soon. (Other than Prime.)
