Has anyone ever thought about doing this?

I'd much rather have a Ravage/Tigatron with an unlimited amount of memory, rather than 2 dink Gigs. iPod Shuffles are bigger than that...

I'm not exactly Geek Squad material, so I wouldn't know where or how to begin such a mod.
for 50 bucks, I'd rather leave him in one piece.
I doubt many would really use the USB because he's too cool as a TF.
    Just a notion.

im guessing at this but id think it would easier to swap in the internals of a bigger flash drive then to make it a card reader

I don't have one but I suspect the space taken up by the electronics are pretty small. Kinda doubt you could fit a card reader in there, except maybe a micro-SD or something.

I think this needs some input from someone who has one, and knows something (just enough to make me dangerous) about electronics. And since Gog isn't here I'll go first.

So there are micro SD card readers that have a USB port on the end. The one I found was the Verbatim CameraMate Pocket Reader (microSD) Card reader USB. However it is too long to fit into Ravages chest cavity.

    It's dimensions are given as:
    Width 1.2 in
    Depth 0.5 in
    Height 0.2 in

Depth and height aren't a problem. That's about the size of Ravages USB port. Width however is. I doubt Ravages entire chest and head piece is 2 inches. And this reader doesn't look like you could loose much room. Then there is the issue of getting Ravages apart without completely destroying him. Ravages doesn't have a single screw in him. And it looks like his chest peice is either glued together or pinned.

I don't have one of these, but is there any way to pop open the actual USB housing and slip in a MicroSD card?

Like I said it's either glued or pinned. His front legs are held on by pins.

it's glued, I accidentally open mine when transforming it.

I don't think it's it can be done, ravage's lower jaw width is not wide enough for a microsd togo through, if you shave off the plastic, it will loose the hold on the pegs

I thought i read somewhere that there was a good quality KO, with 16GB of memory coming out. That seems like a much more worthwhile buy, if the quaility is good

I'd love to drop a dime on a 16gb drive like that.
I'd even get 2. Just so i could give my niece a cool flash drive that has room for all her favorite tv shows on it.
she likes Invader Zim, Powerpuff Girls, Phineas and Ferb...

Meh, I got the thing to have a decent classics ravage not because of the storage. I've got a 4GB flash drive I've never come close to filling up so...
