I just saw it yesterday and it's awesome. It's very dark as the title suggests, but also has some good humor. The animation technique they used is beautiful. As far as drug movies go, A Scanner ranks up there with Requiem for a Dream. A very draining and thought provoking movie. If you have the chance to see it I would definately recommend it.

I thought the film could not have been any better. With the great banter between Keeanu, Woody, and Downey, as well as the great performances from all the other actors, the courage to stick very close to the source material, and finally the perfect use of the Rotoscope technique, the film was an instant favorite for me.

Some people have said the pacing was an issue, but I did not find that to be the case at all. The movie just sucked me in.

I will be buying it the second it hits DVD.

I haven't seen it. But it's a shame it's done so poorly at the box office. No company going to take a risk on an obscure sci-fi story in the near future.

That makes me not want to see it almost. Aronofsky is horrible.

It hasn't done poorly at the box office, it's barely been released. It has had good per theatre numbers.

Pi = my absolute least favorite film of all time. Just horrible horrible. I'd rather eat my dog's shit than watch that again. Never before had a movie given me a migraine until I saw Pi. Damn it was annoying. The sound was excruciating.
