I had the VHS. I loved that movie. I ended up being close friends with a hawaiian/filipino dude in high school who reminds me of Boulder, because he would wear cut off sleeveless t-shirts and taught me how to box/fight.

I enjoy it to this day, whenever the mood randomly hits.

Unfortunately, I didnt see it or TF in theatres. My Dad promised he would, but we never made it. My guess is he had to work nights at the time or maybe read an article about Prime's death and kids reactions. I can totally see my Dad sayin, well Im not takin him to that. He almost didnt let me watch the GIJOe movie on FOX because he had seen the "original" one , but I convinced him, he watched the opening scene and then went to the other room.

He used to like the soundtrack for the TF movie though, and he made sure to hook up 2 vcr's, so I could have my movie when it was rentable

    LOL
Gobots had a movie? I have never seen any episode of them, but I imagine them to be very cheap, from what I have seen of that franchise on the internet so far! :lol

Yes, they did have a movie.

And they put a lot of effort into it. Frank Welker, Peter Cullen, and several other TF VAs lent their voices to it.

It was also star studded. Probably more star studded than TFTM. Margot Kidder, Roddy McDowell, just to name a few.

    The story wasn't terrible either.

The funny part is I knew a lot of people who played with their Rock Lords and lost them in the garden.

I forgot some of the voice actors for this.
    Kojak is Magmar
    and Frank Welker is......Scooter?!!!

I saw this on bootleg VHS back in the early 90's could have been late 80's tho. I liked it.

I used to have a bunch of Go Bots toys. I'd get them for Christmas and Birthdays as people knew i liked "Them transforming Robots"

you know after watching that little clip; it's not so bad, the animation's pretty decent, my only complaint though is that they made the robots look TOO much like their toys :lol
