Does anybody remember owning a pen that transformed into a robot?
I had several back in the mid to late eighties.

It was definitely not an official transformers product and was made by a third party company, something that you would have found in a dollar store.

I remember that in pen mode it was flat, rectangular in shape and made up of primary colours such as blue, yellow, red and white.

I can't find an image of it anywhere on the web, does anybody else remember having one of these?

I remember having a pen that transformed into robot's backpack, or gun, or something, with the robot itself being something else. You folded the pen in half and it was a gun and the pen nib would slide into the body.

Don't remember much about the robot it went with, though, other than getting it at the Asian grocery store in town.

I would like to take pictures of that one I told earlier, but I'm not in my city until december... and even with that, I don't remember where it was (or if it was going to trash... 'cause I broke its leg)

The only pen-toy I remember from back when, do not know if it was late 70's or early 80's but it was like a long drag-car motorcycle thing that had a pen at the nose of the vehicle. I can't recall what it was called or any more detailed than that. I think they were one of those very rare toys.

I have one of those. It's yellow and orange, though the pic makes it look redder than it is.

It is indeed not very cool. Because the pen functionality is entirely contained in the detachable head piece, the pen runs out of ink very quickly. The little circular pieces are also very easy to lose.

Aha! That four star one is the one I had. I think I lost most of it so I only ever had the pen bit, I totally didn't realize they were his legs (I thought they were a gun, or something, heh)

Mine had white legs/pen components, though.

Neither of those look like the one I had, but that could just be the fog of childhood and nostalgia.

I don't think the one I had involved a detachable head. I think its head might've popped out, and was the figure was red, and rectangular-ish. I think the pen might've been one of his legs.

But again, I could be remembering that completely wrong.
