Yes, there was a "sort-of" unofficial crossover for those that didn't immediately get my joke. While recently digging through my storage area i came across my old ninja turtle figures that transformed from their non mutated form to the mutated form. one of them i have transforms into a vehicle. They were all part of a sub-line called the Mutations. There were the original mutations, auto-mutatin', and road ready mutations. The originals were the main characters. The auto-mutations were simply the turtles donning ninja gear. The road ready mutations are the ones you guys would be most interested in. They took the turtles, splinter and shredder and made them able to transform... err mutate into vehicles such as the driller that shredder always used, the turtle van, and oddly enough a porsche, a firetruck...yeah see any similarities guys?

It's sure is weird to see these guys again what with all the crossovers going on right now. Even though these are not transformers it's cool to see the transformation gimmick in other toys. Here's a website to check out if you all want to see pictures. http://www.tmnttoys.com/figures.html scroll down to '92 and '93.

I still have a Raphael that "transforms" from ninja mode to plain-jane turtle mode(as in "real" turtle, crawling about on all fours).

Yep, I had all the Mutating characters (including Tokka, Rahzar, Foot Soldier, Shredder, Splinter, Bebop and Rocksteady) and the Donatello that transformed into the Porche and Leonardo that transformed into the Fire engine. I always wanted a Mutating Slash, that would have been awesome.

Donatello is Jazz? And Leo is RiD Prime?

But yeah, those are awful. Make me appreciate SWTFs.

HAHA, I remember them, I had the leonardo that turned into a firetruck. To be fair they were awful, mine is probably somewhere in the attic plus a crumpled up ladder from when the dog got a hold of it!

They actually remoulded the turtles, shredder and the foot ninja and used them in the new TMNT line.

As much as I love both TMNT (old school) and TFs, those look atrocious.

I remember being freaked out by the April one that turned into that cat version of her, from an episode I think. Even back then I was scared of furries before I even knew what furries were...

My favorite was road ready spinter. He turned into the turtle van.

It had a good transformation even if you had to sacrifice all logic to have fun with it.

as I recall from splinter mode You pulldown the feet/tail clip. wedge the tail between the feet open the robe from the back and turn it inside out to reveal the turtle van sides. A clip is hideing in there that you can pull on a rail to the front fliping spinters head down and the steering wheel up . roll the clip that has the tail and feet into the back of the van and close the end off with the yellow sections. On the back you have to clip the spoiler onto the van roof and the front needs the grey window frame cliped in.

Sorry for the explanation, just being nostalgic.
