I just played the Demo and had a TON of fun with it. In the beginning, the game play reminded me of a Tarantino movie (Kill Bill). Afterwards, it turns into a Queens of the Stone Age, Go with the Flow video! Then, the demo ends with a Matrix style Highway fight.

This demo impressed me so much, i'm debating going out tomorrow and buying it for my pS3!!

    Anyone own the game?

Yes, I've spent most of the day playing it. About halfway through, and still enjoying it thoroughly. If you enjoyed the demo, and want 12 levels of the same things, then yes, buy it.

The demo was fun and I put this on my "Maybe" list, got kind of a DMC feel from it.

I liked the demo -but I don't know if I'm gonna run out and buy it.
The freeway level kicked all kinds of ass.

If the guns felt like they did some damage I would be all over this, I'll wait for a pricedrop before biting.

That was the one thing I had a problem with too.
It's one thing for guns to just stop an opponent so you can use your sword on them when you're name is Dante and you are fighting demons.

In Wet you are just fighting thugs.

I wouldn't even mind if it -was- just that, but they don't seem to react, or slow, or anything they just spurt a little blood and keep going.

Everything esle about it is at least competent to awesome. Bleh. Needed more time in the oven.

I played the demo, and it's a definite pass. Too many games sharing the same gameplay in common that just do it better.

The slo-mo stuff was cool in the demo, but gets really repetitive as the game drags on. That and you don't get any more new "bullet time" moves as it progresses, so that drops the interest level another notch to me. And they try WAAAAAAYYYYYYY too hard to make Rubi seem like a badass.

That and I quit after trying the airplane/freefall crap at least two dozen times. The level made me so mangry that I wanted to throw kittens at babies.

Tried the demo and it was alright. The freeway bit was pretty fun but I could sense the rest of the game getting very old very fast. Will probably pick it up in a year or so.

Yeah, the demo was fun but you can tell the game will get repetitive reallly, really quick.

Luckily, I rented it. Good thing too. Not bad, but wouldn't want to own.

the demo played like a really bad (bad = awful) Stranglehold wannabe.

and she digs her fingers into the side of the buildings when she hangs off them, rather than put her fingers above the ledge, like a normal human. and then she zips along the sides of the buildings, her fingers still deeply embedded in the ledge. it's fucking hilarious.

    nice attention to detail there.

Yup. I just can't stand sloppy game design, which the Wet demo was filled with. there wasnt anything actually good about it. maybe it's just a bad demo. but they chose to release it as something to make people want the game.

    also,

    more lazy design.

but mostly, it's the derivative gameplay that just isnt any fun.

as for the awful animations, well, with that it seems like bethesda being the publisher was just fate.

Yeah, the whole demo felt extremely bland to me. Better-produced games with more attention to detail have left my expectations a bit snobbily high.

guess i'll have to hold off on buying it. I've never played Stranglehold or any of the other games mentioned but for me... it was a welcomed difference from Madden.
