I ask because if enough TFW people get the game, it would be awesome to form a clan and fight the Autobot/Decepticon cause.

The beta was an blast, and if it weren't for the name and the fact that it doesn't have a single player, this game could easily rival the heralded Halo, in terms of excellent online play. The control for the planes and the level of detail and polish on the game are second to non, and flying into a combat zone and seeing your buddies down below fighting the ground battle while the warhawks cover the air in dogfights is spectacular (especially when you are down on the ground guarding your base and you see a warhark of the opposite team coming down on you, only to see your teamates buzz buy and knock them out of the air "complete with ridiculous sound and shadows to lend to the glory")

Anyway, if anyone else gets it, my PS tag is syn-1111, and I would love to start up a TFW team. As soon as Home comes out, we can hook up at someone's virtual pad and discuss tactics and the like.

Pretty much the minute I get a PS3 is the minute I get Heavenly Sword and Warhawk one for the single player and the other for multiplayer respectively.

Cool Cheeta, when you get hooked up, message me your title on PSN and we'll buddy up on it and hook up in the game.

I was bummed about the decision to axe single player from Warhawk.

I'll be getting warhawk too and so will my friend.

    psn is b_ack51

    i also play
    ncaa football 2008
    motorstorm
    resistance

I think single player for warhawk would have been alot like battlefield 2, useless.

Europe: "Q3 2007" So September for you?

I am thinking about it. Being in on the beta probably would have sold me. But now $60 seems alot for an online game only.

I was dissapointed in the lack of single also, but playing the beta made me reconsider. You can still set up single rooms and play with three friends on the same machine. You can also set up a room and play with 4 people on one machine online with the rest of the online community.

I still hope the release some single-player missions in the future, but what the game does, it does it well, and it's a blast to play.

I'll post on here when I get my copy and we can set up a time to meet up and play some. We can even do some private rooms to get aquainted with the controllers.

There is a very important setting used for flying that I recommend, where the camera is always behind your plane. I played for a week without it and kept getting my ass handed to me until I discovered the setting. Basically, the camera is behind you the whole time, even when you do manuevers, so you can always keep track of who you are dog-fighting. Otherwise, the camera pulls back when you do flips and you get disoriented.

No single player means no buy for me.

I will have Lair, Heavenly Sword, Bioshock, Halo 3, and Stranglehold to keep me busy anyways.
