Ah well... I've just put on Dark of the Moon. I'm meant to be up for work in 7 hours but it's too hot and lighty outside.

I finished watching TF1. But now a few scenes kind of bug me.
Because of what I know so far about TF5, the allspark didn't create the transformers. The Autobot arrival scene is the second time they've arrived on earth.
I do want this explained in TF5.

I do love that music when it's zooming in on Sentinel in the opening and then... Carly.

Just finished DOTM as well. This movie always leaves me so conflicted. On the one hand it by far has the deepest and most interesting plot and storyline of the franchise. But while TF07 was magical and ROTf was crazy stupid fun, DOTM always leaves me feeling slightly depressed. You lose your iconic characters like Starscream and Soundwave one by one, then the movie ends with two executions, then cue the credits with a depressing Linkin Park song (although I rather like Iridescent).

So torn because I love a lot of the other things about it. It's the most impressive Transformers movie in a lot of ways, but perhaps the least fun.

Probably just gonna watch AoE to pick up where it left off really. Though I have been watching clips from the old trilogy. I still think the DOTM Highway chase was one of the series' best highlights. I also rewatched the Autobots Meeting Clip from TF1, where the Autobots are talking about Humanity and The Allspark before going to the Hoover Dam. Man, it's weird to see Optimus then and now seeing him all possessed and smashing Bumblebee's face in :lol

Agreed. Out of all the Transformers films, this one felt the most magical and adventurous.

I thought that they started airing a commercial in the middle of the movie. :lol

Anyway, I'm always postponing watching them. What better time than now?

I stayed up til 2:26AM to do it... but that's a wrap on TF1 folks!
20170620-022208.JPG It is SO incredible. Got chills multiple times throughout. Could be the childhood nostalgia as I grew up with this, but wow. The action, the story, the mythos, everything. I also loved Bay's commentary even though I've listened to it before. You can tell he really cares for this franchise, which may or may not be true anymore...but he definitely treated TF1 like his baby. Re-realized why this is my favorite film of all time, a magical masterpiece. Spielberg's influence is really clear here too which helps as he's one of my favorite directors, and here Jablonsky created an iconic piece that rivals the Harry Potter or Star Wars theme, Arrival to Earth.

After rewatching all 4 movies, I don't know if I like ROTF or AOE the least. AOE is long and has a bunch of questionable scenes and moments in it, while ROTF has a bunch of really cringey moments. TF07 remains the best movie, and DOTM is my favorite in the series so far.

Exactly *shudders* I almost skipped that part, but I forced myself to remind myself that no matter how bad TLK is, there's no way it can stoop lower than this.
