So I was looking at my WFC/FoC decepticons and noticed, all of the ones we got minus Megatron (of course) are all of figures that have not been released in the classics line that everyone has been clamoring for. Coincidence? Not to mention the new release of Bombshell as well. And Grimlock on the autobot side (no classics grimlock does not count! look at him! Yuck). The only season 1 decpeticons we will be missing when it is said and done is Devastator and Reflector.

Speaking of clamoring, I mean, WFC/FoC got a combiner. I am happier about the release of the games more so then the backwards steps we took from the Movie toys.

Yeah but they have pre-earth aesthetics though.

    This.

    And Bombshell, Shrapnel, or Slipstream.

Well, what is the most epic of them all: Soundwave and Shockwave. That is huge right there.

And sorry, I was talking season 1.

I see Hasbro giving us important characters to the game. I also see Hasbro having difficulty translating some characters to a modern earth mode. These two things have nothing to do with each other.

Besides, I thought you hated the War for Cybertron figures.

I think some of this might be on purpose.

Hasbro knows there's an audience for many of these characters, but for one reason or another (didn't want to have to color Shockwave all weird just because he's a gun, or they don't want to make a tape deck in 2012, etc) didn't give them a classics treatment. Now that they are free to give them new alt modes, they can finally get these characters out in near-G1 form.

Slipstream is the most likely in the near future. All they have to do is recolor FoC SS and give him a new head.

Slipstream was shown as a TFCC exclusive at Botcon.

The only FOC/WFC toy that fits in my Classics so far is Shockwave.

I swung back over. I still don't like transforming Optimus though.

    I can understand why.

Anyway, yeah these WFC and FoC molds fill the gaps very nicely. WFC Soundwave IS my Soundwave.

Shockwave honestly doesn't need an Earth Form.

If Soundwave needs a modern Earth Mode that fits his size/bulk... a recon Truck/Van/SUV can do it... or even for lulz... have a pimped out Truck that ejects speakers named Rumble and Frenzy.

There was a pretty sweet Radicon custom that completely remade the Movie Stockade figure into a concept Soundwave made by Don Figueroa... if I find it I'll link a few images for it.

Edit: Ah... It was made by Jarrod... http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/405820-classics-generations-soundwave-laserbeak.html

    Here's Don's Sketch
    [IMG]

And the resultant custom... that deviated it a bit but still looks great... has a Laserbeark too!
