Hey, I just grabbed this prime for pretty cheap, knowing it must be some sort of knock off as the dark colour is purple not blue and he comes with pieces for an almost full next replacement torso (windows, arms, etc.). His gun is also not right. The seller said the trailer had 'T2' imprinted on it and thought it was some sort of european release.

As long as it's wheels work/has the scout/has fists, etc., I'm happy with it, but I do want to know how it came to exist...

He looks like a real deal to me, a european/spanish edition.

wow do i hope that's the case. I got this along with some other auctions from the same seller with its price and cheap(er) shipping, I'd be one happy boy (man, but hey...)

it could be real. If you compare the paint on a G1 Prime to something like, say, MP Prime, the G1's looks darker and less blue.

As promised, here's some shots of the (still not certainly identified) purple prime, which I just received. It is pretty clearly purple and not dark or faded blue. The prime is really roughed up, but the inside of the trailer is pretty spic n span, the spring for the scout is still in full action.

it looks legit to me, just extremely beat up

I mean as long as it's made of diecast and has some kind of copyright mark, I dont see why it wouldnt be legit

It seems convincingly legit to me at this point...it's just the PURPLE colour...is that from some Euro/Canada only version maybe?

T2 was imprinted on the French release, used for the knockoff.

what is the copyright under the trailor say? the cab is legit, but the trailor mightbe a france issue. i also noticed that the plastic uder the chrome on the extra prime arm smokestack is RED. north american issues had BLUE plastic underneat the chrome, untra magnus had WHITE plastic underneath, never saw a red plastic under chrome one before, and IT"S NOT A remake from china. they use DARK BLUE plastic under the chrome

I have spanish version from my childhood, the legs and the head are purple, in fact when I colored Prime's face proper I used black to touch up mistakes I made with silver and blue, and the black is not noticible (that's purple for ya). But his fists are dark blue. So the cab is legit.

Indeed the smokestack under-color is red on the two extra arm pieces it came with (came with extrapieces for prime's whole upper body, you can see some in the first bigger picture). It seems to be purple though on the stacks on the prime (look closely at the pics) and on his grill where the chrome is faded (will try to get a better pic of this up)

Oh, and the only marking on I can find on the bottom of the trailer is the 'T2' inside the back little protruding circle.

    Thanks for the feedback people.

My original appears to be more purple than blue to me and this one looks JUST like mine.

I say it's a Mexican, or European Prime. Original. the KO had FRANCE under the trailor hitch that has teh T2 in it. in no FRANCE, than it's a transition european issue, maybe from MIlton Bradly.
