I'm not talking about Monopoly or Sorry! (although there is nothing wrong with those). I'm talking about the expensive European board games you can get from timewellspent.org and thoughthammer.com.

We love games like Settlers of Catan, Dominion (not a board game, per se), Agricola, Stone Age, etc.

I was just wondering how many of my fellow TransFans were also board game geeks.

The only board game I tend to play now is Space Hulk from Games Workshop. It's out of print now though, so might be hard to get. Damn good game though.

My wife and I love board games, though we don't really buy the more obscure ones ourselves. We have a couple of friends who are married that have a great collection of games, so we've play Dominion, Agricola, Catan, Carcassonne, Killer Bunnies, Zombies, and various other games like that with them. Dominion might be my personal favorite.

Whenever my brother and I get together we try to get another person or more to play some Settlers of Catan, Dominion, Blokus, etc.

My friend and I play... crap, I can't remember what it's called. It's like a cross between D&D and Monopoly. We also play D&D and Traveler and sometimes Heroclix. Haven't played the 'clix in a while though.

Space Hulk third edition was recently released.

I play Descent which is awesome. It is sad I use to live in Clearwater I would have invited you over anytime.

Check out Fantasy Flight Games and even Wizards of the Coast as well.

Talisman. That's what the D&D/Monopoly crossbreed is called. Fun game with lots of expansions available.

I've been reading reviews of this on Boardgamegeek.com and watching videos on YouTube, and it looks really really cool. I may have to check this one out. Thanks!

It was released in 2009 as a one shot thing. After the initial production run, no more were produced.

Here are a few pretty awesome games

Talisman: Great game for playing togheter. It is everyone for themself.

Descent: One is the overlord the other are the heros, Amazing game aswell with loads of expansions.

DungeonQuest: up to 4 players were you randomly build your way into the dragons chamber if you want to get the big tresuers or chicken out with small treasures and hope the others die. In most cases you will die even the rulebook says so.

Tide of Iron: Amazing great WW2 board game.

Doom the board Game: Deathmatch, Capture the flag or play as Descent were one is the evil overlord the other are the marines.

WoW the board game: This is hugh and takes time but it is amazingly done. You play factionwise, some will be horde and soem the others. Killing a randomized or chosen boss.

Starscraft the board Game: This works really well and is very easy to build and play. NEeds some tactic feeling. You build up your own solar system with diffrent planets.

That is what I canr ecommmend to start with.

Used to play Settlers of Catan with friends myself, but my mainstay and favorite board game will always be Axis & Allies. Loved Fortress America back in the 80's as well, but haven't played it since then. Kind of lost it's appeal after we found out Star Wars was a hoax.

killer bunnies is not a board game but a card game..but yeah that is freaking great. :D

We have Blue, yellow, red and purple when we play but we have the orange aswell that we havent opend yet. I really hate a few cards though, the one that forces you to pay 2 dolals for each carrot is one fo them...bahh.
