Anyone here watching the episode commentaries?

    I just received my dvd copy from a local Wal-mart for a mere $20, though I would have gladly payed more given the quality of this set. Anyway. I'm really enjoying the commentaries by some of the various voice actors, music composer, and many others that really help bring this version of Transformers into fruition. Still need to finish up the 1st disc but so far its been a blast.

    I think Peter Cullen does one. I was watching the episodes themselves for now, so I didn't see if he did or not. I did hear somebody say that though

    I wasnt thinking of getting the DVD, but the more I see ppl comment about it, the more I want it. I'll have to see if my walmart has it in stock & see W they're charging. And of course, I'll have to wait till I get the money.

    Q's:
    Is it really that good?
    How long do u think it will be in stores?

    1. I would definitely recommend it, it doesn't have to be in high def in order for you to enjoy it.

    2. Possibly 2-3 weeks, depending on the location.

    Not all of the episodes have commentary.

    I watched most of them last night. The voice actor episodes (that I remember) are:

    Convoy with Peter Cullen
    Predatory with Sumalee Montano and Josh Keaton
    Darkness Rising pt 3 (and I think pt 4) with Tania Gunadi and Ernie Hudson
    Shadowzone with Andy Pessoa
    Stronger Faster with Jeffrey Combs

    Stronger Faster also has the writer of that episode, and she and Jeff Combs talking about Ratchet make it my favorite commentary of the bunch.

    I watched Convoy first, with commentary on. The commentary was decent, but you don't really get much out of it. Mr. Cullen is his usual self, a real gentleman, and has nothing but good things to say about the other voice actors on the show, especially Frank Welker and Clancy Brown. I lol'd when he called Ratchet Bumblebee.

    I've never liked listening to the commetaries on any DVD, they bug and distract me, but this one is a possibility as I know each episode by heart, I've seen them so many times on the HUB and my DVR. Maybe just once.

    Most of the WM's I've been to have several in stock, they'll probably keep the spot for a month or so I would think..maybe longer unless they have some kind of rework.
