Are any of you guys watching Power Ranger Mystic Force?

It's not that bad of a series so far,I just watched the 3 part "Dark Wish" saga on youtube.com since here in Winnipeg we're a bit behind. My ABC station preempted for a few weeks because of World Cup soccer.

I don't like how they tipped their hand off too early though. It hasn't been OFFICIAL yet and already people know about Nick's past.Because the clues were too obvious.

Man PR has progressed from it's Mighty Morphin days when the Demon and Zord battles looked so fake.

It was cool to see Piggy from SPD on Mystic Force though.A nice little bit of continuity even if it was just a cameo.

So anyone else watch the show

Oh and is John Tui a.k.a. Daggeron wearing padding in that civilian suit.Because he looks huge

I like this series so far. Rivals with SPD and Time Force imo, as best of the best (excluding the original).

Too bad there's 14 more eps. to go, this season was cut to 32 eps only :(  No wonder it feels like it's rushed

I haven't seen it. Is it using the MagiRanger footage?

I'd assume so although I've never seen Magiranger.

IIRC I believe most of the Ranger serials at least use IN PART parts of their Sentai counterparts

BTW Sentai's the correct name right?

For some reason I was hoping this thread was about a sequel to Mystic Pizza.

Himitsu Sentai Goranger rules - even though I have only seen the first episode. I like Magiranger too. It has got me into liking Sentai.

Yes, Mystic Force is based upon the Sentai series MagiRanger- borrowing both costumes and certain plot elements.

Fun Fact- Some of the actors in Mystic Force also played roles in the previous series, SPD.

John Tui, AKA Daggeron played Commander Cruger.

Kelson Henderson, AKA Phineas, played Boom.

Barnie Duncan, AKA Toby, played Piggy.

And Antonia Prebble (Claire) has made appearances in "Power Rangers" shows for 3 consecutive years with Mystic Force.

I've been watching PR again since Dino Thunder (originally stopped during Turbo, picked it up again for PRiS, then dropped it again during Lost Galaxy). Mystic Force is a pretty decent season, so far. Not the best, but definitely not the worst. Korag is one of the better villains in recent years, and I love Vida (the pink ranger is the team's resident badass? Brilliant! :lol ).

I liked Dark Wish. The whole Tribunal thing added a good layer of mythology to the show, and (aside from Nick and Chip's helmets) the Legendary Warrior modes look damn nice.

As a big fan of Magiranger, I'm enjoying Mystic Force a lot. So far they've done a decent job of translating the Magiranger story with some good new and original stuff. I especially love that we've gotten so much action from Koragg too, as we had so little from Wolzard in comparison.

For those going "Huh?" ... that means John Tui, aka Daggeron in Mystic Force, also played "Doggie" or "Commander Cruger" in SPD, who was also known as the "Shadow Ranger". First time that the same actor has played two different CHARACTERS as Power Rangers. Jason David Frank (Tommy) played the Green Ranger in MMPR, the White Ranger in MMPR, and then the Black Dino Ranger in Dino Thunder (a 4th Ranger), but all were the same character.

She had a very brief appearance in SPD. In "Dino Thunder", she was the latter part of the series love interest for Conner McKnight, aka the Red Ranger.

I don't remember if Kalish signed on to produce that one too. It should be a rather craptacular show next year, going back to the roots of Turbo with a new Carranger, so to speak.

    Well let's see

1)Koragg's definitely not the standard villain as he seems to have a sense of honor a decency

2)He bares a remarkable similarity to the sillouette of the warrior caught behind the gate as it decended ti the dark world

3)In the 3 part Series premier Udonna asks "Do I know you?"

4)His telepathy with Nick is strange, like there's a connection between them

So him being Udonna's husband is not out of the question. If Koragg's not Lienbow*or whatever the husband's name is*I'll be seriously surprised
