*note this thread has nothing to do with Sega*

GM offering Saturn owners $2,000 towards the purchase of new GM vehicle

cause if you do GM is willing to pay you 2000 bucks towards your New Camaro ^^

.....cmon Ford...kill the Taurus again and offer me a Discount

P.S....there was a Saturn in TF2 but just like Jazz's Pontiac Mode it foretold the fate of the two Brands

and Ironically they were both ripped/sliced in half

Was anyone else hoping this would be about the old Sega console?

    Ha!

I have a 2005 Saturn L300. It's the last one they made with a V6. It's overpowered for its size and I'm still paying it off (didn't get it that long ago, and for only $12K). It came used with only 60K miles on it and non-stock street-racing wheels.

2 years in and it's at about 81K miles. That, and I actually, y'know, maintain it.

Yeah, good luck guys. I'm keeping this one for a while. Trade it for a GM...ah, that's rich.

I actually owned two until about four months ago. We traded one in at a Kia dealership and got more than $2,000. We practically stole that Rondo from them.

That's the only way they can sell them is by practically giving them away. ;)

What we saw was the Saturn Astra. It was actually a European import that was rebadged as a Saturn. "Not Blackout" and Starscream made short work of that car in the end.

And, actually, Saturn still exists. It was bought by Penske. Penske wants to sell Samsung cars in America. As if 2 crappy Korean car companies isn't enough.  :puke2:  But Samsung Motors is 80% owned by Renault which also owns a large share of Nissan Motors. The sedans will use Nissan platforms, so we'll see I guess. I have mixed feelings about this.

Here's a link for more info:

Penske's plan for Saturn: Sell Samsung vehicles

Breaking News: Saturn Deal Falls Through http://bx.businessweek.com/made-in-...ntent/article/2009/09/30/AR2009093004812.html
I was aware of the penske deal last year and unlike the recent success of Saab/Spyker deal...Saturn and Penske weren't made for each other

and if we're talking about the Astra although true it was basically a Rebadged Opel/Vauxhaul unlike it's Saturn siblings the Astra will return to the USA by next year as the Buick Exelle http://www.autoblog.com/2009/12/03/la-2009-buick-rendering-teases-new-compact-sedan/ http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/30/new-buick-excelle-debuts-in-china-sedan-coming-to-america-soon/

I say if anybody owns a Saturn or a Pontiac, keep it. For one day it will be added to the list along with Studebaker, Edsel, Packard, DeSoto, Hudson, Kaiser, Nash and Plymouth.

Seriously? We did a lot of research before buying our first Saturn and they were rated very highly for safety. Our Saturns have been excellent, dependable cars.

Not anymore it's not. They killed the line, remember? I perhaps should have said "Trade it for a new GM product after they killed the line? That's rich.".
