a lot of people here make their own stickers by going to any office supply section and getting the computer label sheets, and then make something in word/mspaint/photoshop and print them out that way.

This is how I make mine. As long as your output image retains a nice resolution, it will look nice (low res = pixelized image). Also, I've found that my biggest obstacle has been finding the "right" papers. Most of us don't have access to the commercial papers that the larger printers are able to use, so we're a bit limited. However, with some experimentation, some nice results are able to be achieved.
