    I need a recomendation on a book to learn Macros and stuff. Anyone have any? thx!

    basically, its just visual basic.

    If its simple things you need done, I highly recommend using the Macro recorder. Pretty much puts everything in code for you, then you can edit it later to do special stuff.

    "Excel VBA Programming for Dummies"

    It's pretty good!

    No problem-o!

    When you get the book, you must at least read:

    Part I: Introducting VBA
    Part II: How VBA works with Excel

    You be able to make some basic macros after reading the first two parts. Parts III and onwards are the advanced programming stuff. I'm NOT a hot shot programmer, so I just concentrated on Parts I & II!

    That's cool. I mainly use macros from a Finance POV (building models, etc.)
