What the title says. Have an extra UM/SW 2pack, and of course I wanna repaint UM into Nemesis Prime, but I want red windows, not blue.

    It's not tint, it's plastic.

    You can dye it however.

By dye, do you mean transparent paint? I've never had success dying clear plastic...

Exactly how much lead paint did you eat as a child?

I just use permanent markers to change the colors of clear parts. Even colored clear parts like Magnus's. Give 'em a clear coat after you're done and it looks like it was always the color you colored it. And it won't rub off after you clear coat it either.

Well, that certainly sounds a lot easier and faster than dying it! Do you have any pics showing that off?

Edit: I saw pics of SamiWCP's marker job on Classic UM's windows. It looks good, but it's hard to tell in the pics how even the color is.

You won't get red windows anyway. You could make them purple, but if you want red, you'll have to paint them a solid color or make a mold and cast a clear piece that you can paint translucent red.

SamiWCP used red markers on Classics Prime's windows and they came out red. That would be the best thing to do.

No, it turns red. I made Magnus's and Megatron's eyes red using my method. I COULD take pics, but my camera on my phone takes such poor-quality pics, I dun think it'd be able to show it off properly.

Yeah, red marker, 2 coats, about an hour or 2 apart, comes out solid red, you can't even tell it was blue. Works great.
