Not sure what is wrong with me, but recently I have been thinking of selling my classics line as a whole. I fell in love with the G1 line and I have always liked the MP line, but not sure why, but the classics line hasn't been doing much for me lately. It could be because it is a dead time in the line or because everything classics I like are 3rd party vs. HasTak stuff.

I don't think I actually will, but have you guys ever thought about this? If so, what did you do and why?

I haven't. I've bought and sold pieces but not the whole line.

This is a bit surprising because I seem to remember you being all into them back when windcharger was hard to come by. Maybe it's just the dead time you mentioned. I'm looking forward to the future and adding to my collection.

I don't really have a Classics collection, but if I were to sell any, I'd just get rid of the stuff that I don't find fun.

My Classics figures are the last toys I'd sell. They're the main line I collect because they've been around for almost 6 years already and have the most support from 3rd parties.

Never a chance, they have been the center of my collecting the past few years. Don't know that they would be the last line I'd keep (probably keep my G1s and MPs over them), but if I did get rid of them, it would probably be the end of my collecting. Don't know if I will ever get the 12-15 past figures (either Henkei versions or Botcon figs) that I missed to have a "complete" collection.

Sadly, due to financial reasons, I sold my classics within the last year. Didn't want to but had to. Put it up on ebay and basically gave it away to a buyer in China. I was only missing a few figures from being complete too. I need to go cry in the corner now.

You couldnt pay me enough to get rid of my classics. They ( along with my MP's ) are the glue to keeping me in this hobby.

Classics (and 3rd party products intended to complement classics) are the figures I enjoy the most out of all the figures I have.
They give me everything I wish I had when I was a kid in the 80's, cause most G1 toys were very disappointing to me even when I was a kid (alt modes were awesome but all I cared for was the actual robots and the characters)
It's also the only line I care enough to buy straight up repaints and also the only line(s) I try to complete.
So nope, not a chance at all of me selling any of them.

Other than my G1 figures,my Classics figures would be the only other ones that I would never sell.I'm thinking about selling a good chunk of my movie collection just to get more of the Classics that I'm missing.

Nope! If I start selling off my collection, all "classics" stuff would be the very last to go.

I'm going to echo most everyone else here by saying that my Classics would be the last to go. I'm currently selling the vast majority of my movie figures, A/E/C, and a few of my duplicate Classic-verse figures. Today's news has me pumped for the upcoming Asia exclusive figs.

Even if I have classics Ratchet, I so want the Henkei one. So my answer for now is no.

I've sold most of my Classics collection this past couple of months to support my TF Prime wants.

Aside from all my Beast stuff, my classics collection is my favorite part of what I have. Not a chance I'd sell it.
